it is a nice kit.however nothing was secure in kit and all the pieces were all piled on top of one another.kind of like some one just through everything in the carrying case and shipped it.this was a present and when the case was opened I was expecting it to look top notch however when it was opened and looked like someone threw it across a parking lot.I don't even know if it came with everthing.I don't real know if this should be a 3 star.maybe I should have just went to cabelas.

I have learned a lot about tying and kit came with enough supplies to work with and keep me busy. There are better tools available of course, but I for the price I'd say this has to be the best.

The kit is mostly of the quality I expected for the price: not very good. However, I was disappointed by the included hook selection. The DVD shows how to tie a few flies with the incdeded materials but the kit had only one type of hook, not the different ones shown in the DVD. The bags with the hooks were labeled for the different flies but the hooks were exactly the same and did not match the ones shown in the DVD.

Kit was not what I thought I was getting based on price. Overpriced.

Love that it comes with an instructional video. Makes it much easier to learn. Great quality of tying material. I will continue using the Troutsmen brand for the rest of my material!
