Great hammer for many uses. Excellent for removing stubborn rusted car parts to shock rust loose or when used with pickle forks or chisels. After many smacks the faces still look good. Also good to bring if setting up tents/guy lines and getting heavy stakes into tough ground. Much too heavy to take backpacking, but would be good for car/van camping.

I've been using this 4-pound sledge hammer for various DIY projects around the house over the past month, and it's been a reliable tool overall. The 4-pound weight hits the sweet spot for most home tasks - heavy enough to get demolition work done but not so heavy that it causes fatigue quickly. The fiberglass handle is definitely a major selling point. Unlike traditional wooden handles that can splinter, crack, or break with heavy use, this fiberglass construction feels very durable and has shown no signs of wear so far. I've used it for breaking up concrete, driving stakes, demolition work, and general construction tasks without any issues. The handle has good shock absorption which reduces the jarring impact on my hands and arms. The head is well-made and solidly attached to the handle. The striking faces are flat and properly formed, delivering good contact with the target. I haven't noticed any chipping or deformation of the metal despite some pretty hard hits on concrete and masonry. The weight distribution feels balanced, making it easy to control the swing. However, the grip area could definitely be better. The handle surface is quite smooth, and when working up a sweat or wearing gloves, it can get a bit slippery. I've been wrapping the handle with grip tape which has helped significantly, but it would be nice if it came with a textured or rubberized grip section from the factory. This is really my only complaint and why I'm taking off one star. The length is good for generating power without being unwieldy in tighter spaces. Storage is easy - it fits well in my tool shed and doesn't take up excessive space. For the price point, this is an excellent value. It performs as well as sledgehammers costing twice as much. Perfect for homeowners who need a reliable hammer for occasional to moderate use.

Needed a small sledge to use for light jobs. I keep it on my truck and gets ur done

Had a chance to use this prospecting for a couple of days and don’t think this hammer will last very long. large section around the edge of the hammer head are already gone and don’t think the hammer head will last another week. Only sampling soft material calcite/dolomite so don’t think this hammer would be usable on harder stone like quartz.

What you see is what you get. I keep this little sledge hamme in my vehicle toolbox for numerous tasks including pounding stuck wheels off of hubs.
