Truly the first couple of pages I didn't know if I would proceed. I am so glad I did. This book had everything a person who had become so lost it was heartbreaking, good friends, and such a special man Reece. Charlie was a strong character who thought she was weak, but she wasn't she was anything but, and her friends waited for her and didn't judge but the places in her head she had gone had convinced her otherwise. What can I say about Reece, not enough would have loved more from his perspective, but in saying that this book worked. It was tender in many ways and a sadness that held it together but above all there was so much love. This was more than a Sports Romance, it had layers which many of those books don't have. You know it's a good book when it stays with you and makes you think. Just loved the writing .

First just to say I love TIJAN , I have read so many of her books and they are all amazing. I loved this book from the first page , fell in love with all the characters. This book made me laugh out loud love the relationship that Charlie and Reese have they are perfectly matched , Cried lots too only took me 3 days to read didn't want it to end . Please read this book you will love it Thank you TIJAN .

This is a sports romance in its most basic sense. It’s so much more than that. It’s about a woman coping with a partner suffering from early onset dementia and the fallout of that person no longer being in her life as once was. It’s a story about new beginnings and trust. And the fact that everyone has baggage in life- it just shows itself in different ways. The last 25% of this book is the strongest for him. It shows Tijan’s writing at its best. I adored her focus on issues not usually written about, her characters were beautifully flawed and relatable as they navigated a new relationship together. The storyline was different and gripping. Overall, Reese and Charlie’s story is well worth the read.

The tears won’t stop, happy tears, sad tears, peed off at life tears... I’m so in awe of this book, and of Tijan- WOW!! TEARDROP SHOT is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!! I read this book on a whim, but mostly because a friend of mine is obsessed with Tijan, and I owed her one. If wasn’t already a fan, I’m now the official stalkery kind!! ( Although, reading Enemies already secured that). I feel like a manic- depressive (and I use that term loosely, I’m a mental health professional)- I went from extremes of laughing to crying, griping my heart to swooning and being so proud of a heroin’s courage to combusting into flames and oft times all at once... this book was touching on such an deep level especially for me. Reece is the kind of book boyfriend you’d want in real life... and, it sure helps he’s a hot-shot basketball superstar!! Teardrop Shot is deliriously off the charts a quirky unconventional funny but still hits ALL THE FEELS!! “It was like my heart was made of flower petals. Each one opened, beginning to collect, build, blossom. His last words were the last petal falling into place, completing the heart.” Charlie and Reece will hold a special place in my heart for years to come. This isn’t just a romance read, it’s something that will resonate with people- the story of the characters in this book has the power to change lives and that is truly beautiful and awe-inspiring. “He had kissed me like he was starving, then shoved inside like he was dehydrated. I loved it—“ I’m writing this review with tears in my eyes, I commend anyone who writes anything dementia related in their stories but the focal point of this aspect of the story is what is most gripping. A thoroughly enjoyable reading experience!🌟 Charlie is a chaotic hilarious mess, trying to drag herself back to living. Her group of friends she ghosted on 8 years ago drag/welcome her back with open arms & hearts. Their Hearts are bruised but they can see she's not ready to talk! They're a wonderful & eclectic bunch - Ride of Die friends!💕 They're working at a Camp & offer Charlie her old job for 3 weeks - She takes the offer & has no idea what's in store for her!!🙈😄 Reese is an NBA Star. His team summer training camp is being held in seclusion because of complications in his life. He's boiling with hurt & anger.😡💔 He makes a friend while he's there that pushes his darkness away but then camp is over!😔 This book is full of light hearted moments but also has deep & painful ones for both main characters too. I didn't cry - I'm sure many did while reading it though. It's much longer than I thought it would be, thankfully. It had a couple of natural 'ending' places but this Author had a story to tell & she told it properly!🙏💕 So the relationship is messy and clumsy and painful until it isn't, in its own time!💘🔥 I loved Reese so much, his heart made me swoon!😍 Charlie is a wonderful mess throughout but she's trying - beautiful!!💔💝 This is a fabulous read, I'm so glad I took the plunge 🌟🎉 Debbie, 1970, UK

entonces, eu realmente esperava um livro bobinho com jogador de basquete e uma garota na vibe "she's so crazyyyy", mas nossa me surpreendi demais! o livro tem uma bagagem enorme, um aprendizado enorme que eu não tava esperando. o começo é MUITO confuso, nada faz muito sentido e até a escrita da tijan nos deixa sem entender muita coisa, mas por favor não desistam da leitura, juro que vale a pena. a princípio a charlie é bobinha, parece uma mulher que age como adolescente, aquele tipo de gente que esquece que cresceu sabe? mas ao decorrer do livro a gente vai entendendo tudo o que aconteceu com ela, o quanto ela passou etc e não nego que no começo algumas falas dela em relação ao damian me irritaram, porém dá pra entender tudo até o final do livro. o reese... sem comentários! lindo perfeito cheiroso ele é coerente em todos os momentos do livro, e o desenvolvimento dele com a charlie é a coisa mais linda do mundo. sou suspeita já que amo friends to lovers, principalmente quando tem essa história de "só amigos que transam", mas juro, eles entregaram tudo! o livro teve aquele drama básico que foi super bem colocado e nem me deixou com raiva kkkk os diálogos são mega engraçados, os personagens são super divertidos, todos eles são fofos demais. no final me peguei chorando, foi tão emocionante, sério, eles conversando direitinho, colocando todos os pingos nos is! e o epílogo lindo demais, enfim amei parabéns tijan

Okay so this book is basically about Charlie who just got dumped via her boyfriend's grandfather. So she's going to a sports camp she used to work at a couple years ago where she meets her long-time basketball crush Reese. That's really just the basic storyline and it's much deeper than what I just described but I don't want to tell you too much about it! Just know: it's hilarious and sad and just has all the right emotions in it. It is honestly completely amazing! I mean I already loved Tijans books before I read this one but now I'm just totally blown away. Her books just keep on getting better and better! She has a way of using words that make you cry and laugh, be happy and sad at the same time. It's the same in this book. Charlie is a character that makes you want to laugh you a**** off but at the same time you're realizing that all her 'craziness' is coming from an experience that was completely live-changing for her. It sometimes just makes you want to start crying nearly as much as laughing. I'd say she's one of the best characters in all the books Tijan has written so far. And Reese ... I honestly can't express myself right now. The most fitting expression coming from my mind right now is wow! He's so kind and sweet and at the same time he's protective and understanding. Definitely swoon-worthy and one of the best book-boyfriends I've been reading about so far!

What a beautiful, heart-wrenching, touching story! But it was also so hilarious in some parts I got the giggles - Charlie was the most gorgeous, funny FMC I have come across in a book I think. Definitely top 5. Reece was just swoon-worthy and steadfast and so damn beautiful on the inside aswell. I had such a ball reading this book, and sobbed and melted into a puddle with all the feels. This book rocks your world, and it is real, but it is so well written and will leave you happy but I'll be thinking about what it addressed long after - in a good, growth way! Thank you for this amazing book Tijan.

I read this book many years ago and i had completely forgotten about it. So it was as if i was reading it for the first time and i have to say : i think it's my favorite one from Tijan... Reese and Charlie are everything and more

Tojan has a weird way of writing. And there is a lot of alcoholism in the book. I will never understand why a person has to drink to get over his or her sorrow. Overall the story is. It deals with the hardships of a caregiver of a mental patient.
