VacuMaid GV50B Wall Mounted Garage and Car Vacuum with 50 ft Hose and Tools

First let me say that, although I was not sure about paying more for the color, I love the beautiful blue paint.The 50 foot hose comes in extremely handy as I can work in and around either of the cars in my 2 car driveway without having to jockey vehicles around.It was in great shape out of the box and installed in no more than 10 minutes with more time wasted looking for tools than doing the work.The bag was simple to install and the suction of the vacuum is awesome. The crevice tool and attachments are very good quality.Make sure when you screw the end piece on the hose you realize that it is left hand threaded so turn it the opposite way as a standard nut.Previous to this purchase every time I wanted to vacuum out the cars I had to drag out an extension cord and either my mini shop vac or the giant shop vac.If I used the mini shop vac it continuously tipped over and stopped working while the large shop vac was deafening and took some time to retrieve. This basicly meant that the carpeting in my vehicles was always dirty.Now I just grab the hose off of the hanger and start vacuuming the car before I wash it every time. I can vacuum and put the hose back in nearly the same time I used to spend gathering cords and vacuum cleaners. I plan to use it for woodworking dust management down the road as well but have yet to do any woodwork since the purchase.Overall this was a great purchase and well worth the money.

Package arrived quickly and in good condition. I installed the vacuum in my garage using the wall mount system. It took me approx. 30 minutes to unpack the box and get the unit and the hose hanger attached to the wall. I bought the blue one to match a blue air compressor. This vacuum will be excellent for vacuuming out our cars and will also help with shop clean-up. This vacuum has good suction and it's not too loud. Beautiful paint job on unit!

Most important, the vacuum has very strong suction through the 50 ft hose. The VacuMaid is quieter than my old shop vac. It was easy to attach to the wall after I located one stud in the wall with a stud finder. In minutes, 2 lags and 2 screws later I was done. I mounted the vacuum at eye level and the hose reel under it. I hung the accessory net bag next to the hose. The paint looks like Kandy Blue and is sharp. I mounted the vacuum on the wall between the garage and house near the walk through door, and use it for the house as well as the shop. The only thing I will add to this produce is a sticker stating "No Liquids" as a reminder. Otherwise I am impressed with the product and its suction.

Kind of took a leap of faith based on reviews on this product...expensive compared to others but WOW! GREAT PRIDUCT! If you want a shop and car vacuum that none can equal, this is your vacuum. Hose is incredibly long and can go anywhere. Longevity yet to be proven but love it so far.

I went to hang this beautiful vacuum cleaner on the wall and saw it was dented. We contacted VacuMaid and was offered to exchange it for a new unit or they would offer a discount if we kept it. We did the latter and I'll hammer out the 4 in dent and place a decal over it so it won't show and wrinkles in the metal I love the suction, the 50', the attachments and the color (electric blue). I made an attachment holder using 3/4" PVC sprinkler pipe to fit each attachment and painted it blue. It works and looks professional.

This vacuum is a perfect addition to our garage. We recently adopted a dog and frequently take him with us in the car. As a result, dog hair is covered over the floor of the car. This vacuum works better than our home vacuum or even the vacuums at the car wash/gas stations. With little effort the hair is completely removed and my car floor looks brand new. I am so happy with this purchase.

I love this vacuum. Super easy to install. Mounted up out of the way of my car to park in my garage, but low enough for me to reach the lid to empty the bag when it it fills up. I bought the model that uses a HEPA vacuum bag to keep the dust particles down. It'll take awhile to fill it up. The blue color is wonderful, but the vacuum is the star of the show! I bought mine with the fifty foot hose so that I could use this super-sucking vacuum with a dual purpose....the long hose allows me to vacuum the carpeted step going up to my kitchen! It also allows me to vacuum my finished family room in the basement. I know that it doesn't have a 'beater bar', but the fact that I do not have to drag around a heavy sweeper to vacuum the steps makes it all worthwhile. I keep all my attachments hanging next to the hose. Oh, I also use it to vacuum out my car-which is what it's originally intended for- so convenient not to be dragging around a shop vac. Finally, when you reverse the hose, you can use it as a 'blower'. It's not as strong as a leaf blower, but enough to blow out all the debri accumulating on my garage floor. Would I buy this vacuum again --YES!

Does this vac have an enclosed exhaust return so the air doesn't blow back into the room?
