Carolina Gold Rice, 32 Oz

This is saying a lot for a South Carolina born and raised family. This rice is pricey compared with normal grocery store choices but they do not compare with Carolina Gold rice. We are on our first bag and have already ordered two more. Two good examples of our uses so far are Lee Brothers recipe for Charleston Okra Soup and just plain southern fried cubed steak and homemade gravy with onions which we always served over mashed potatoes. We used the Gold rice instead of potatoes and there is so much difference in flavor that we do not plan use potatoes again with this dish. It is a small grain rice, has a pleasant light flavor on it's own, and does not stick together. It takes a little longer to cook but it can be cooked in a microwave too.

Delicious, quality mouth feel, richness, smells fantastic - I really love this rice. It's a bit on the pricey side compared to standard white rice, but is an awfully nice treat.

Very good tasting rice! Delicious and we will continue to purchase it.

This may be a bit pricier than other rice, but it’s worth it. Full flavor, wonderful texture. My new favorite.

Greatest rice ever!

We must be spoiled by living in an area with large populations of Asian, African, and Mediterranean people who are particular about the rice they use. Of all the brands we've tried, we rarely find any broken kernels. When we opened the bag of Carolina Planation Carolina Gold Rice, we found many of the kernels were chipped or broken! It looked like a mix of yellow rice and grits. I can appreciate a small business owner needing to sell their product. We're hoping to find someone who demonstrates quality control by selling only whole kernels.
