I purchased this torch so that I could light my cigars outside in breezy conditions. It works great! The strong flame and easy-lighting process make it perfect for roasting the end of a cigar and getting it lit outdoors. The fuel capacity is great and the build quality (materials) is solid. The torch feels like it will last a long time. Thank you for a very nice product!

I've had a few kitchen torches over the years (some lost, some broken) but this is my favourite one thus far. It's the first I've owned that had a fuel gauge window. No worries for overfilling! The safety lock is nice, but I've no use for it however, I can see how it could be helpful for around kids or if jamming into a cluttered kitchen drawer. Decent burn time when full. Nice adjustable flame that is easy to control. The body is more substantial than my previous torches, but this is great as it fits better in my hand and the attached guard is a nice bonus too.

I love the fact that the body of the torch is aluminum. It’s really solidly built without being too heavy. This is much better than the plastic models. It’s easy to fill, holds a lot of fuel, and it gives you excellent control over the flame. I’ve started finding all sorts of ways to use this in the kitchen and around the house. It worked well when I had to do some emergency plumbing and to solder several pipe joints.

Very nice feel and operation. Easy to refill with easy to read tank. Highly recommend

So this product seems to work well and it’s built well on the outside. There is an issue as some other reviewers have pointed out, I also get a strong butane/fuel taste reaching my foods. I’ve tried crème brûlée and also using it on one of the cocktail chimney style smokers and both make the end product non-edible. I’ve experimented with high or low flame and the distance to the target and it doesn’t seem to help. Also, I doubt it’s the quality of the fuel being used since I’ve only used Xikar (same I use for other torches and cigars). So I’m not sure what to do with this product. Is there supposed to be a break in period? Is mine defective and not burning properly? Until then, it does work great to light a fire in the fireplace but then it becomes a pricey lighter at that point…
