BUY IT!
Buy it! Seriously, just buy it. If you are reading this you are thinking about it so just go ahead and don it. ZERO regrets. This thing is amazing. I am truly impressed. Our son (age 8) likes to fly styrofoam airplanes outside. I came across this while Christmas shopping and went for it. Being mostly paper we didn't expect much, figured it would go farther but nothing like this thing. First flight was poorly aimed and went straight to the roof. I although for sure it was a goner but this thing flew over the house, back around to the side our son was on then some before crash landing. It wasn't a fluke either, this thing moves. Despite being paper, it survived numerous crash landings before finally decided to move onto the second sheet of paper. Super fun, we even bought a second one for our other son!

Very cool for learning about Aerodynamics
This is a very neat little toy. I know a lot of the others on here are having difficulty getting their planes to fly, but with basic understanding of Aerodynamic principals, you can get this propeller to carry a paper plane for a significant distance. If you build them right, you can get your designs to fly several hundred feet! The designs that come with the product don't always work amazingly well, so you should experiment with your own. It's key to get the largest wings possible to provide as much lift as possible since this propeller does not have an enormous amount of thrust. Then you also want to make sure your airplane's center of mass is in the correct spot, since if its too far back you will have your plane go straight up and dive, while if it's too far forward, it will dive straight off. Just like it says in the instructions, you want your plane to be able to fly well with the engine turned off, before you can expect it to fly well with the engine turned on.

Not actually crash proof
Fun? Yes Great gift? Yes Actually crash proof? No This was a fun gift, but broke on the first afternoon of playing with it. I honestly am not surprised, not many things can survive dropping from 20-30 feet. My beef isnt that it broke, my beef is that it broke when they claimed it was "crash-proof". I had fun while playing with it with my kids, but it wasn't worth the $20 for the hour we got before it broke

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
I wish amazon had a 0 star rating because this thing deserves. It would not for the life of it even try to even get into the air. I followed the directions exactly, cut the rudders to the exact height, and even flew it into the wind. Just like it told me to. Yes, it did come with everything but completely did the opposite of what it was supposed to do. All it did was fly for 2 seconds and then nosedive straight ti the ground. The propeller on the back isn't even propeller attached properly, It just slides on and just gets knocked off right when it hits the ground. Remember, save your money and do not buy this PEACE OF CRAP!!!

Great addition to the aviation curriculum!
I teach high school aviation courses and just got these to include in the curriculum. It is a nice addition when talking about control surfaces and their impacts on flight. As the battery starts to drain, the airplane will stall, dive, and recover which leads to another discussion. I got the basic 2.0 kit. It came with a paper template for one model and then it had links to other models in the included paperwork. The students enjoyed comparing the performance of the models and troubleshooting each model when it didn't behave as desired. I will say that you should not be surprised when some struggle with the initial airplane folding. Even with video instructions, I had several get a bit frustrated with the folding. I do not see this as a bad thing. I want them to have the experience of following instructions and building something. If it leads to them having to learn to deal with productive struggle, even better. This is something that is missing in their lives as they do more and more in the virtual world. If you have students that you know will struggle with the folding for whatever reasons, the models do vary in difficulty so you can guide them to an appropriate plane. I used them for 2 sections for 3 periods. The battery packs are still performing well and all propellers are intact. I did have a student snap a stabilizer bar, but it is not crucial. There is a spare parts kit offered on their site that I will be getting in the future but had the student experiment with using a larger paperclip for the repair this time. In closing, I absolutely recommend these for class. I look forward to seeing what else we can bring out of their use of them. (The video is only 5 seconds of the 25-second flight.)

Amazing!!!
This thing has taken paper airplanes to a whole new level! Must get for plane enthusiasts. Such an incredible toy for all ages! Easy to set up and use. Make sure you read all the instructions first. The elevators made all the difference to keep the plane in the air for minutes!! Sorry for the language in the video but we were so amazed by this thing.

Not much considering the price
Just prior to receiving the device I folded a plane from slightly heavier paper than was supplied with the shipment. I then attached the device and it totally failed to fly. I then folded the same design from the supplied paper and it (sort of) flew. The concept of giving a paper airplane greater range (after much trial and adjustment) is fine but the construction and quality of the device is not anywhere close to the cost. Frankly, I'm a bit embarrassed to have paid so much for so little.

Simple fun with “flying”
I have the power 4.0, this 2.0 is great for young children without mobile phone and yet able to have great fun building different paper planes and have powered flight on them. Thanks!
