KOHLER K-98771-CP Awaken Handshower Cradle, Polished Chrome

Easy installation, nice weight for being metal-clad plastic, and fit and finish looks great. The only issue was that I has to tighten up the ball assembly as it leaked a bit there coming straight out of the box. Since that works like a valve packing nut it was no issue to tighten. That also made the cradle assembly 'stiffer' so the weight of the handshower and hose had no effect on the desired angle of the handshower.

Pros: I replaced an old Kohler showerhead/handheld combo unit with a simple handheld (K-22166 -CP) and just needed an attachment to mount the new showerhead. This cradle was nice in appearance, solid metal, substantial, easy to install (purchased with Delta Faucet 10-inch Adjustable Extension Shower Arm for Shower Heads, Chrome UA902-PK). Most importantly, it fit the new handheld perfectly. Looks good, works fine, will buy again. Cons: None

Matches our shower head perfectly, and holds it well. NB: this piece is plastic, although it looks metal. And we ruined our old one with sideways movement of the shower head. Make sure to slide it up and down to go in and out. Luckily it was an inexpensive replacement.

This product has received a lot of bad reviews but I have found it to work perfectly with the Kohler Awaken showerhead and Kohler 72" MasterShower hose. When tightened properly, the holster does not droop under the weight of this showerhead. Connects perfectly to your existing angled pipe coming out of the wall. Requires Teflon tape at both connections (not included). Only 4 stars because while it is a very pretty and shiny chrome plated thing, it is not solid metal.

Easy to assemble and works just as it should. Looks really nice also. Always recommend Kohler if you would want something with a higher level of quality vs. a Delta or Moen.

This is a great, shower wand and shower head. Love the multiple functions and the well made product!

Feels really solid and provides a great range of angles. Perfect upgrade for our shower.

Eventhough it is a plastic material, it is sturdy enough, nowadays the price of metallic details is far more expensive.

the "stainless steel" part of the description is a lie. it's 90% plastic that's covered in chrome and only the actual ball part of the ball joint is chromed brass. Way overpriced for what you get
