Purchased as a replacement for a defective regulator on a propane water heater. Three years later it is still working great. I would buy this again.

I purchased this regulator to feed propane to my smoker. I needed the longer hose, and in that arena it was perfect. However, I was disappointed in the regulator. It was nearly impossible to get specifics on the performance of this regulator. Many conflicting reports. I had PSI and BTU questions that should have been answered in the product description. They were not. The single stage regulator I was using on my smoker was rated at 10 PSI. The answers I received in regards to this two stage regulator was that it performed at 10 - 11 PSI. I thought that was an indicator it would work fine. My smoker operates at 180,000 BTU. This regulator is suppose to operate at 190,000 BTU. Again, thought it would work fine. The original single stage regulator on the smoker would deliver enough propane to get a roaring flame burning, even with the gas supply valve on the smoker only barely opened up. I expected similar or better performance from this regulator. I hooked up this regulator to my smoker. Sadly, even with the gas supply valve on the smoker opened all the way up I could barely get a decent flame burning. I'm unsure why, given the similar specifications between this two stage regulator and the single stage regulator I was formerly using, that this two stage regulator performs so poorly. It's unusable for my smoker. On the bright side, I used a torch to heat up the 3/8 fitting on the regulator to separate the hose. I reconnected the hose to my old regulator and it's provided the length I needed. So, on that front I'm happy. All-in-all, just know that this two-stage regulator has very low gas output. It does not at all deliver the amount of gas that the specifications seem to convey it will.

We moved into a house that was a new one for us, but not a new one. It had an electric range which we did not want, so we went and purchased a new one that was on sale at a big box store. Since the house only had facilities for electric, I had to run the piping for the propane from the tank to a spot near the stove. That is where I continued with the installation kit on to the range. The actual installation of the kit was very easy, it was some of the rest of the installation that was a bit of fun. Depending on your situation, your installation can range from 1-5 out of 10. Have fun with it. Just be sure to put everything in correctly and then check for leaks before you light off your appliance!

Il est nécessaire de démarrer assez longtemps tout en enfonçant le bouton d'amorçage du carburateur de manière à vider complètement le boyau de son air pour que la génératrice finisse par se mettre en marche.

Seems to be of good quality. I have not had a chance to install it at my cabin.
