I am a 100% combat disabled veteran who is still mobile but also a fall risk if I'm not constantly paying attention. This small titanium whistle is perfect for me "just in case". Yes it is small but that is great. The sound is sufficient much like a smoke alarm; not LOUD like some may expect but high pitched and actually made my ears ring some. My dog will come to me immediately when I use it. So it's a bit pricey; it is worth it. I wear it on a chain around my neck and barely notice it is even there. I saw several of the negative reviews and can conclude that those people were expecting to get a LOUD whistle (like Fox40). This is a different sound and will be noticed by others when used. Very pleased with the purchase.

This is a very well made whistle, the machining is awesome.This is a small whistle that delivers a huge sound. The whistle is high pitched and very loud. It hurt everyone's ears in my whole house when I blew it for the first time. It is surprisingly loud. I'm sure all of my neighbors heard it as well. If I were in a survival situation this is a tool I would like to have. I'm going to keep it in my camping pack and order another to have on my boat, because this thing will get people's attention when needed. I would recommend this whistle to anyone, customer service was great, fast shipping, and a quality product at a good price.

I've been wearing this around my neck--on a chain that is--and it's quite comfortable on a rather long chain (28") so it hits deep in the solar plexus. I think it would be fine higher up as well. It's * nicely finished, jewelry level, as it should be; * small but adequate sound. You could get your dogs' attention if you live on less than five acres; * real titanium, what's not to like about titanium? * I have a nice square one on my keychain, but I wouldn't consider wearing it . . . I'd feel every 90-degree angle. This one is meant to be worn.

Yep I haven't tried it. Bought two, one for my daughter and one for self when I run at 6am. I also carry a serrated ring as well. My daughter tried it out and said it’s super loud. My biggest complaint is the tiny hole to put the tiny tiny ring thru. Talk about being blind and trying to maneuver fingers to open that almost microscopic ring. OMG. Please consider having those already attached. It took several attempts and stabbing myself with butter knife a few times. LOL.. i will NEVER do that again. I would have to pay some small child with keen eyesight to do that

My job requires me to carry a whistle and I wanted to try something new. This is a great whistle that is small enough to carry on a key ring and it is an excellent replacement for the orange or metal couch whistle that I keep misplacing.

I got his for an older family member who wanted me to hear her if she needed me...Wow, can I hear her. We have tested this at full volume but we have yet to need it that loud, It's a clear, distinct sound I can hear pretty much anywhere and it's sturdy, unobtrusive and light.

I bought two of these. One for my son and one for me, when we are out hiking. It is a VERY tiny whistle. That is a good thing for putting it on a chain and keeping it out of the way. The only issue I found is that the diminutive size leads to you having to put just the very tip of the whistle in your mouth to get maximum effectiveness. Otherwise, it is muffled.

I bought this whistle for our hiking in a few weeks. It is very important to have one just in case I got lost in the woods. Although this whistle is tiny, the sound it produces isn’t. The whistle is loud enough. I believe I bought a good one. My husband is currently using it in his work since it requires him to go through deep vegetations and there’s a risk he might get lost especially when signal is weak. Whistles are also important for kids when they are in distress. I recommend this to hikers and parents for their kids to have anywhere they go.

Purchased for my wife in case of emergency. She loves how it is so nice & comfortable. You can put it on and forget that it's even there, it tucks easily and inconspicuously into your shirt. Smaller than anticipated which was a pleasant surprise; as we were expecting it to be twice the size! It's definitely loud, sleek, (what with being all one piece) and cleans easily when the need should arise. Will purchase another for our daughter who heads to college this fall. *Arrived with small keychain already attached, which addresses the issue that another buyer had, of squinting at small parts! It's fantastic!

Recall for my labradors has been a bit of a challenge as I can’t whistle...& yelling sound awful and doesn’t carry far. One quick blast of this whistle and they come running within milliseconds. Loud, sharp and very portable. Thoroughly recommend
