I am a videographer by profession, and I use two monitors to make editing easier. I use a secondary pc for email, browsing, admin etc, connected to a third monitor. Having a third monitor when editing can be very useful, though, but until today, whenever I have needed to use three, I have had to unplug the 'admin' screen and connect it to one of the editing system's GPUs. It's a pain, and it probably doesn't do the connectors much good either. Additionally, I use NVidia's Surround mode and the settings get messed up when unplugging and reconnecting all the time. I should have thought about doing this ages ago, but a few days ago I decided to look into an HDMI switch. I specifically wanted a switch (i.e. to switch between two sources into one monitor), not a splitter (ie sending one source to multiple monitors) and it seems there are a few reviewers who thought they were getting the latter. That's probably partly the fault of the seller, though as it does say 'splitter' in the item title. A quick read of the listing would have cleared that up, though, so I don't really understand why some people are complaining so bitterly! I thought this one looked like a reasonable trade between quality and price, and when I weeded out the misinformed reviews it seemed that most people were quite happy with this unit. Ordered it Monday, arrived Tuesday. Anyway, for me, this is perfect and does exactly what I wanted it to do. Installation was beyond simple (don't forget you'll need a third HDMI cable to connect the switch to the monitor). A single button press switches between sources with about a two second delay while the screen is blacked out. Build quality seems reasonable - it's made of plastic, but it doesn't look like it will fall apart after a few days. If it does I will let you know! I have used heavy duty velcro to attach mine to the clamp on one of the monitor risers, but as you'll see from the picture, I still need to tidy up the cables. All in all this is a very handy bit of kit and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants an inexpensive switcher. If you're looking for a signal splitter, you're in the wrong place!

I needed a way to connect my PS4 to my projector via my Sony Sounder. The only problem being, I had used all three of my HDMI ports. So, I decided to get this so that I could connect the PS4 & Blu Ray player to the same HDMI input on the sounder. I simply took the two existing HDMI cables into this, then added a new cable to connect the adapter to my soundbar. Set-up was that simple. You just push the button to switch between the two devices. I’ve not noticed and reduction in sound or picture quality. I rarely use the switch, as I predominantly play the PS4 but it’s very handy to have the option to switch to the Blu Ray player when needed. It’s a compact device and quite smart looking. Although I’m not that bothered with how it’s looks, as it’s tucked away out of site. I think this is ideal for occasionally switching but, if I were to be switching regularly between two devices, I most probably gone with one with a remote. This would work very well if you had limited inputs on a monitor and wanted to connect another device, such as a laptop, tablet, etc. It was £8.99 when I purchased it and I think that’s pretty good value for money. hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative and useful. Works as described, allows me to plug my console and firestick into one HDMI port on my TV. Can switch between the 2 devices by a simple push of a button. As others have stated, can't plug firestick directly into the device or there won't be room for the other hdmi cable. Need extra cable to extend the firestick (see photo), but I'm fairly certain the firestick comes with this hdmi extension anyway.

I got this to allow a PC and a Raspberry Pi to share the same screen which only has a single HDMI input. It works perfectly. It requires no external power, so it is as simple as it is possible to be. It is a very compact little device - about the same size as an old box of matches (for people old enough to remember then) or about half the size of a deck of playing-cards. There is a decent-feeling push-button switch to switch inputs (or outputs, if you are using it that way) and a discrete blue LED which indicates the selected input/output. The case is very nicely made from what looks like aluminium with an elegant polished bevelled edge. All in all, if you need one of these it is an excellent little device for what it costs.

Great little gizmo if you haven’t got enough HDMI sockets on your TV. I needed to plug my DVD player and my Firestick into the same socket on my TV so this device solves the problem with a simple push button to switch between the two inputs. A little light illuminates to show which input is connected. The Firestick is too wide to fit next to the other HDMI plug so you will need the extension thingy that comes with your Firestick. If you haven’t got one you can buy them separately. You will also need a HDMI cable to connect the device to your TV. Once connected everything works fine with no loss of picture quality. A useful buy.

It's just a clever small box with a button You need a spare high-speed HDMI cable as the HDMI switch has three ports, one port out, two ports in, but no type of cable, the port assignment allows you to switch between the inputs simply. I have tested the HDMI switch with, Sky q box 1TB Sony ps4 slim Nintendo Switch to the latest edition Xbox series s. The above devices all work without lag or black screen or any other issues. The only combination of devices I found to be problematic was the Xbox series s and the Nintendo switch. The Nintendo would not display once the device had been switched to or from. Any other combination was perfectly fine. Button feels a bit delicate but it's been ok so far and the company offer to resolve any issues via there own customer services if needed. A great starting device to the world of multi device switching!

I have Sky Q, Hik-Vision CCTV, ARC surround sound system and an Xbox One all using HDMI but the Panasonic 4K Tv only has 3 ports. Of the 3 one is dedicated to ARC leaving two ports for 3 remaining devices. I bought this to switch between my CCTV and Xbox One but the reason I’ve given it lower stars is that it didn’t work initially. I was going to return it but I then tried it with my Sky box and CCTV instead of Xbox and hey presto it worked. So, in conclusion, works with some devices but not Xbox One for 4K. I’ll keep it as I can still use it but this limitation should be stated

The switcher is nice and compact and does not require any external power, it was to be used in the below setup. In short I'm very happy with this item, and I'm actually going to buy a second one today for another purpose. I only had one potential issue when it came to outputting to both a 4K display and a 1080p display, but this may not be an issue with the Switch itself. The long version for more information if anyone is interested is below: Input: PS4 Pro Output 1: PC Monitor (capable of 4K) Output 2: TV via 20m HDMI cable (1080p) The switcher worked in outputting in 1080p to both displays with no issues whatsoever. When it came to 4K I had two issues. First issue was that It would not output to 4k initially, the picture would appear only for one second every 5 seconds. However I think this was down to the HDMI cables I was using. After going through my collection of HDMI cables I managed to get it to first output to 2160P - YUV420, and then with a couple more cable swaps, to 2160p- RGB. (which meant I could set my PS4 Pro Display output to 'automatic' with no issues... Or so I thought). The second issue I had was that once set to automatic, the PS4 Pro could not detect a change between a 4k display and then a 1080p display through the switcher. So if the PS4 pro display output was set to automatic, and I wanted to switch from the 4k display to the 1080p tv, there would be no picture displayed on the 1080p tv (as the PS4 Pro was still trying to output to 4k). But this issue also comes with a couple of caveats; first of all, when I first connected the HDMI Switch to all inputs and outputs, the PS4 Pro was outputting to 4k (despite the issue I was having in getting the 4k display initially), and when I switched it to the 1080 display, the PS4 DID automatically change the resolution and display fine on the 1080p TV. It was only after changing the HDMI cables and getting a stable 2160p- RGB output on my 4k Monitor that PS4 stopped automatically detecting the second display (I triple checked that the PS4 Pro Display output was set to 'automatic', and restarted the console several times). So this could be an issue with the HDMI cables being used still, or, it is known that PS4's can be a bit finicky when it comes to Switchers and display outputs. It's possible that this is not the fault of the Switch at all, and rather it is something to do with the HDMI cables being used and/or the PS4 itself. Overall I'm very happy with the product.
