The bags are a little thicker than a produce bag, but not quite as thick as most plastic take-out bags. I'm not terribly particular about the thickness of the bags as much as I am concerned about the durability of the bags - I really don't want digested dog snacks on my hand, so as long as I can pick up the goods without actually touching them, I'm happy. The bags I received have, so far, not had any holes, tears, or otherwise compromised bags in the batch. They're unscented, but I don't really care, since when I take my dog for a walk, I usually toss them in the trash bin at the park immediately, so scented bags aren't a necessity. For those who use their own rubbish bins to put the poop packs in, I would probably put the filled bags inside a larger plastic bag, as I don't think these are thick enough to contain the smell. As for the bag dispenser, I initially liked it because it kept the bags conveniently in one place, but I later found that the pill-shaped holder doesn't stay closed effectively - i.e., I lost the bottom half while taking my dog out for a walk one day because it got unscrewed. This was frustrating because I not only lost the holder, but also one roll of bags. It's not a deal-breaker for me, since I used to just tie a few bags to the leash and went back to my old habit, but it would've been nice to have a functioning poop bag holder. For those who care about these bags being environmentally friendly, they are not unfortunately. You can't beat the deal! These bags are amazing! I've been using these since they came out. Love that they are thicker than most, not see through and they have an arrow showing what end opens!
