Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Isolate Whey Protein Powder, 930g

I've tried quite a few protein powders over the years and this is one of the best. The Vanilla flavour is pleasant without being overly sweet or artificial, and it mixes really easily with both water and milk with no lumps. The fact that it's a whey isolate means it's high in protein while being low in sugar and fat, which is exactly what I was looking for. I've been using it after workouts and occasionally as a quick protein boost during the day. It sits well on my stomach and doesn't leave me feeling bloated like some other brands I've tried. The 930g tub provides good value, and the included scoop makes it easy to measure servings. Overall, a reliable, high-quality protein powder from a brand I've come to trust. I'll definitely be buying it again.

Very happy and good taste

This is a really high quality whey isolate and it's one of the best options if you're looking for a protein with excellent nutrition and easy mixing. It dissolves quickly, isn't overly thick, and it's great for hitting your daily protein goals. The only downside for me is the taste. While it's perfectly drinkable, it has a slightly odd dairy or "cow" aftertaste that I notice at the end of each sip. It's not terrible, but it does stop it from being a perfect protein powder in my opinion. Overall, it's an excellent protein isolate with great nutritional value and mixability. If you don't mind the slight aftertaste, it's definitely worth buying.

Graet product and better when mixed with frozen fruits and a little skimmed milk

Decent tasting protein shake, helps hit my protein goals and light on stomach. Goes well with fruit smoothies too.

I wouldn’t normally spend this much on a protein powder however (and I’m sorry to be so frank), I wanted one with significantly less sugar than others, and more ‘pure’ as other powders resulted in flatulence 🤦🏼‍♀️. This powder has produced none of the effects of other protein powders PLUS, it tastes nice! Not just ok, but pleasant. I have a terrible gag-reflex and I only like vanilla-flavoured shakes. What I would say is, it’s not particularly sweet. But I find that reassuring. I have subsequently subscribed to this and recommend it based upon the above.

This protein mixes exceptionally well, even with just water. No clumps, no foam issues, and a very smooth consistency every time. The texture is much lighter and more pleasant than many other protein powders I have tried. It is easy to drink, does not feel heavy, and has a clean taste without the thick, chalky feeling often associated with protein shakes. The high-quality isolate formula makes it an excellent choice for everyday use. Great taste, excellent mixability, and easy digestion. Highly recommended.

I’ve purchased this protein powder five times on Amazon already, and that alone should tell you how I feel about it. Whenever I don’t feel like researching every new protein on the market, this is the one I come back to. If you’re looking for a high-quality whey isolate from a well-known brand that offers good value for money, this is one of those “buy it and don’t overthink it” products. It mixes exceptionally well. At home I rarely even use a shaker bottle—I usually just stir it with a fork in a glass of water, along with my creatine and glutamine, and it still dissolves surprisingly well with very few clumps. On the go, a shaker makes it even easier. I’ve always gone for the vanilla flavor, and it’s one of the better vanilla protein powders I’ve tried. It’s flavorful without tasting overly artificial or excessively sweet, which is something many vanilla proteins struggle with. Another reason I keep coming back is the price. Compared to many of the premium whey isolate brands I’ve used over the years, this consistently offers a better balance between cost and quality. It isn’t the cheapest option available, but it’s also not priced like some of the top-shelf isolates while still delivering excellent performance. A very good product being 100% isolate and no fillers. I have vanilla flavour but think I’ll try the chocolate next time.
