KJV Holy Bible, Thinline Large Print Faux Leather Red Letter Edition Thumb Index & Ribbon Marker, King James Version, Dark Brown (KJV Thinline LP Editions)

Received my $12 Bible today and I am impressed. It is a bit larger than the hand-sized Bible I am currently using and has a lot of nice features for the price.Pros - Font is nice and easy to read, though not a large font. Cover is nicely engraved and feels like quality material.There is topical headings throughout in a nice bold font, there are color maps in the back, a one-year Bible reading plan, and a topical index.The gilding on the pages is nice and the Bible does lay flat for the most part but you might have to coax it a bit.Pages are just the right height and width proportions so that the Bible is thin and light. In other words you get a lot of text on each page.Cons - The pages are thin and there is a bit of bleed through. Not good for those who like to mark their Bible, but adding a sheet of white paper behind the page you are reading will stop bleed through if you are bothered by it while reading. The font is size 10pt and those with poorer eyesight will need reading glasses or may want to get a bible with a larger font.

This KJV bible not only looks beautiful and feels good in your hands, but it’s a perfect size for studying, with larger type, Jesus’ word in red, an extensive Verse Finder Section that spans several pages, and a ribbon book mark. I had been using a VERY basic KJV version with none of those amenities and it occurred to me that if I can order all this other stuff from Amazon, I can certainly afford to invest in a lovelier version of The Word of God. Only the packaging has changed of course - the Word stays the same. And I highly recommend sticking with the KJV above and beyond all other versions, even if the wording occasionally seems a bit antiquated. The editors of the NIV and so many others have intentionally perverted the Word of God to deemphasize salvation through Jesus Christ. Very beautiful Bible and very easy to read

Love this Bible

This is a Good Bible for the price. This Bible is made to lay open and flat, which is nice. The print is nice, big and clear. Not as dark of print as some more expensive large print Bibles, but perfectly fine. As with most Bibles, you will be able to see the print from the other side of the page, but it is not that obvious. The thumb tabs are helpful, but the pages where the tabs do stick to the next pages and need to be gently loosened. I think this has to do with how the page were cut so you can see and read the tabs. What needs to be improved is the placement of the book names. They are not on the page corners like most Bibles. So, as you're flipping through, you don't see the book names. The book names are centered instead. There is a list of Bible books in the beginning and a yearly reading plan, and a "verse finder" in the back. The verse finder is topical, but not like what you would think. It is more for inspiration and not for looking up specific verses by a word search. Meaning, if you want to look at a few versions to inspire you when "you are feeling..." or "what the Bible says about...", then the verse finder will list several verses to look up on basic topics. Those expecting a true concordance will be disappointed in this shortcut. I have Bibles that are no thicker that have a true, if condensed, concordance. I see very little use in it as I have a verse finder book that is more helpful. There are basic chapter headings. There are no notes, which was expected. The margins are narrow so not much room for writing, but again that was expected. The lines have sufficient margins for comfortable reading. As another review noted, there is no page to write your name. The cover is of excellent quality and the material itself is probably the best feature of this Bible. The cover is glued on to the Bible. The pages are glue bound. Time will tell how they will last. The packaging, by the way, is clear plastic - no gift box. There is a removable, thick paper wrap on the back cover that lists the features of the Bible. There is no mention of the cover material being made in Italy in the Bible itself. It is, however printed in China, a country that has a terrible history of abusing Christians. A decent Bible for the money.

I'm very pleased with it, it is large enough print, the dividers are real nice. It's light weirght and fits good in a tote.I ordered this one, due to that I had ordered another one, back at the very beginning of August, which I still have yet to receive. Amazon keeps changing the date when I can expect it to arrive, which at this point does not please me.I order qutie a bit from Amazon, and have never encountered this issue. I have attempted to cancel my first order 3 times now, and message comes back, attempted cancel, but cannot.So took a chance and order this one, and even it took 10 days, which is fine, had they said this at the beginning.So yes, product is real nice, and if you're not in a hurry for it, givve it a chance. I likely will not mess with Amazon on books anymore. Like, when you order a book, you want the book. Well, I sure do.

The media could not be loaded. This Bible is beautiful and is my new favourite. The print is not large but not too small either. It stays open nicely and can be easily read laying on a flat surface. I added the book tabs myself for easier referencingThe only complaint I have is about 20 pages were folded over in the top corner but was easily fixed and flattened.Highly recommend this beauty :)

I was searching for a good, sturdy and big lettered Bible so I could keep it for a long time (Whole life basically). This one got my attention due to its old wordly, most beautiful, royal, imitation leather cover which is very nicely finished. The Bible is good sized, very comfortable to read. Very very happy with the product. Has double column format, gilt edging, nicely done thumb indexing and verses of Lord Jesus in red colour for easy differentiation. Go ahead with this one, something to relish all your life.
