I recently installed the Mannial CV15S Carburetor on my Kohler engine (CV13, CV14, CV15, and more), and I’m really happy with how it’s performing! It's getting the job done
If you're putting this on a Kohler CV15S, on a Craftsman lawn tractor, be ready to modify/trim the choke lever to clear the head's breather tube. Otherwise it will bind up and hold the choke closed. Ugh. The idle will need adjusting as well as the idle air screw.... I set mine to two turns out and may need another turn. Seems to be running the motor fine and it has plenty of power. The included spark plug had a poor spark and the air filter was too tall and the fuel filter very few pleats. The electric fuel shutoff is working well. Hope it will last a while, definitely not as well built as the oem carb.

Didn’t Work on Kohler CV16
Looked very similar to the original carb. Easy to assemble, but the engine ran very poorly. After careful examination compared to the original, I found a small metal piece that was restricting the movement of the choke linkage. I modified it to allow proper choke function. Tractor ran much better, but is constantly surging. I’m giving up. I’ll just rebuild the Walbro using parts from this one.

Carb was correct but not air filter
The carburetor was an exact match. But the air filter was an inch too tall and the cover would not go back over it so I ended up having to go out and find the correct one from a repair shop. The numbers stamped on the air filter where the same but the air filter was wrong
