OXO Good Grips Slotted Fish Spatula Stainless Steel, Fish Turner

This is our second of this exact type of OXO “fish flipper” spatula. We still have the prior one, but the handle material has degraded over time after frequent runs through the dishwasher. We sometimes use a high-heat “sanitary mode,” so perhaps others have not had this issue, but the handle on ours has become “tacky” over time — a sign the plastic is degrading. But it’s become such an indispensable tool in our kitchen that we had to get another one, which will be hand-washed going forward. These aren’t just for fish, although I used it on the sockeye salmon last night and it was of course perfect. But this kind of thin, flexible spatula works well with anything you’re cooking in a pan that needs flipping, turning, or manipulating, whether you’re browning ground beef for chili or turning steaks. I don’t really see the point of the short, fat style for most of what we cook — this fish flipper style slides under food easily and is wide enough and “springy” enough to lift a T-bone or an omelet. Great quality, did not know what I was missing when preparing fish dishes. It’s lightweight has a good grip and delicately removes in places fish into a frying pan. I use it more than I ever thought. excellent tool.

This is the best spatula I've owned. I literally threw two others away when I started using this one. Since it's made for fish, it can scrape while being gentle and precise, and that works for so many other applications. I like my eggs over easy, and they haven't given me a yolk knick yet.

Great quality, love the square end and beveled sides. Nice hole in handle for hanging.

This is a right-handed spatula due to the slant of the edge. It does not work well if you are left handed. However, I do like that it is flexible and thin and I find it easier to get under the food. I’m glad I bought the smaller size because it is just the right size for me. I just need to adapt to use it with my right hand.

Perfect for fish and more. Lifts evenly without breaking up the fish. Better than regular spatula or tongs.

They should rename these these spatulas because some might think it's really only for fish. If you buy only one spatula (or two -one for metal skillets and the other for coated ones -) this is the one to get. Great for flipping meat, chicken, pancakes, you name it.

Best tool in utensils drawer. I use my stainless steel pan a lot more now, it stops anything from sticking.

Great spatula for frying meat and fish (but not suitable for pancakes as the edge is too sharp). Good quality, as always from Oxo. Would definitely recommend.
