Surprisingly Good Hive!
I didn't expect such good workmanship at such a competitive price point. All parts assembled flawlessly - no sanding or filing needed! No pieces were warped, so clamping was minimal. Will definitely buy again.

If your not experienced with assembly this could be a challenge
I was impressed with how perfectly this fits together. if you can hammer a nail strait this will go over fine. The instructions are very simple possibly overly so for some people. ( the small nails are for the frames )Over all this hive is great for the money and my bees like it. its made better than my first hive ( it was an assembled kit ), i will be ordering more. takes about 2 hours to build and set up.

Good hive for the price
Purchased this hive as a backup in the event I catch a swarm this spring. Overall, assembly is straight forward. Joints are tight and after gluing and assembling the boxes, I pre drilled nail holes and had no issues with splitting. Over all it appears to be sturdy and should with proper care last years. Surprised that it also came with what spears to be a Hoover Hives bee trap (white plastic oblong device) and a stainless steel mouse guard. Over all, very satisfied.

Exceptional quality
We ended up doing much of the assembly with a brad nailer. Some of the dovetail joints were very tight.Overall, a good value.Recommended.

For a new beekeeper this was a dream.
Getting into Beekeeping, and being into wood working, I wanted to order a hive first so I could see in person how they are built. Once I got it, I assembled and painted it. Like others, the nails they sent went into stock and I used an air stapler and glue to assemble everything. Assembly took maybe 1.5 hours. I have ordered another one and this time, I should be able to do it much faster. The pictures shown are with just the two deep boxes, one for the bees and the other one for the feeders. Once my hive get's established, I will add the frames and then eventually add the shallow. notes for potential buyers.1. This is an 8 frame hive. It will not stack with 10 frame hives as they are not the same size but that is OK as I think I am just going to do 8 framers anyway due to them being a bit lighter. As note, the frames themselves are interchangeable, just not the boxes. Also, 8 frame langstroths are gaining in popularity for just that reason, they are lighter.2. If you have an air nailer or preferably stapler, that is the way to go. Trying to nail this thing would make it an all day affair.3. Materials are pine boards so quality per piece varies but they seem like they will replace bad parts.4. Assemble and paint your hive well before you get your bees to let the paint and glue dry completely. All in all, I am very happy with it. I will likely make my own hives in the future but if I need one quickly, I would order from them again.

Easy to assemble
The only thing that is missing was the screen for the bottom board, but it came with all the nails and the hives are very nice
