Pro grade tone maker.
Ultex/Ultem is my favorite pick material. When I saw this pick was also made in Ultex I knew this was for me. The tone is quite good, among the best. This Primetone is said to be very close to a Blue Chip pick tone. This shape works best for me. Give this one a shot if you are considering ordering a Blue Chip pick. You can save some money and get a pro grade awesome sounding pick. I'm using the 1.3 size. Previously on plain Ultex I was using 1.07, I have no issues using both.

Perfect, but Might not be the Sound you are Looking for
This pick has the best warmth I have ever heard from a pick. It is also easy to hold and with the rounded edge, it makes an amazing strummer! In fact, that is what I am using it for. When I play rhythm this is my go to. The texture of this pick makes it slide right off the strings. HOWEVER, if you already have a dark sounding guitar, this might not cut through the mix when you are playing lead. It really depends on the construction of the guitar and the string gauge you choose. This would make an awesome pick for a Taylor guitar that needs a little warming up. In my case I have rosewood sides and back and this seems almost too warm at times for playing lead. Unless, you are only on the higher strings. It is definitely, a great pick to have in your bag! It is solidly in the professional pick category.

Color WAY darker than advertised, otherwise great
These picks are fantastic. Grip is nice, they're solid, and they work well with my mandolin. However, they're way darker than you'd think. They only look like the website photo if you shine a light through them. I have a brown leather coffee table and I'm always losing these things. Here's a photo next to my other favorite pick, the Golden Gate X-Stiff. If I could put the Dunlop grip on the Golden Gate I'd have my ideal pick. Sure wish Dunlop made these in more vibrant colors.

Great pick for mandolin
I’ve been buying a lot of Primetone guitar picks in various sizes and shapes, as I find them easy to hold, long wearing, and the material and finishing produces a very good tone. Having recently picked up my mandolin again after some years of inactivity, I’ve been asking a lot of player about their preferred pick shapes. My choice in the past was generally small “Jazz” type picks with polished, pointed, tips, but I learned that a lot of pros prefer a large pick with a very rounded tip for both speed and tone. After a few days of practice, I could see why they made that choice. I get a lot of speed with these picks and no loss of Picking precision, and the tone is excellent. Unless I decide to try some of the very expensive picks, like Wegens, I think these will be my preferred mandolin pick for the foreseeable future.

Excellent Sound!
I've discovered I really like a slightly rounded 'point' on a nice stiff pick for my mandolin playing. A luthier buddy I knew down in FL sent me a handful of different picks to try out with my first really nice mandolin (a Weber two point I purchased back before Weber had been widely accepted as a maker of better mandolins) and one of them was this shape with seven holes drilled out in the middle. I thought it looked ridiculous, so I never even tried it for years, but when I did... hey, I LOVED it! Definitely my goto pick now. These Primetones aren't made of the same type of material I much prefer, but they're plenty thick enough, sound okay and are well worth the price. Good mandolin picks cost money, unfortunately -- up to twenty bucks and more! I prefer the same thickness (around 1 to 1.5 millimeters), but a softer material. This hard plastic (whatever it is) is MUCH brighter and out there than I prefer. The softer plastic gives my mandolins a much sweeter, far more mellow tone. Still, the shape does make a difference, so I'm glad I have a few of these on hand if needed. I've noticed another Dunlop 1.3mm pick in the same shape (and in a 3-pack) that looks like it might be the softer material I prefer, so I'm about to order a set of those too. Of all the picks I have (MANY!), and in spite of years of searching, I have only ONE of the rounded-edge beveled picks (maybe an imported Weegan (or Wegen), very much like his M100, although mine has seven holes drilled out of the middle) that's my favorite pick of all time, so I need a backup! If you're a mandolin picker, I definitely recommend you try one. You might be very pleasantly surprised. I sure was. :-) Recommended. NOTE: included is a photo of my three favorite picks in order of favor from L (best) to R (less). I have backups for the Triangular Tortex and Dunlop picks , but not my very favorite Weegan.

Skims across the strings
#1 This pick is almost impossible to slip in your fingers or drop. I don't know who came up with the texture but it is unreal #2 Despite being on 1.5mm it is pretty stiff. Good for fast solos or runs #3 Because of the rounded edges, there is no sharp tip to snag when speed picking from string to string. So easy to jump across from one string to the next. It just wants to glide across them. It takes a little getting used to but I can play sooooo much cleaner and faster with these. p.s, They are not bring sounding. More on the mellow side, but hey adjust your eq. : -)

Wonderfully warm tone, grippy and precise
The rounded corners, grippy texture and materials somehow combine to make your picking precise but also easy. When the point disappears, you end up picking closer to the string. For me that's meant faster and more precise picking. And the tone. Wow. If you're looking for a warmer tone, to really feel the lows anchoring the steel-string's twang, this will do the job. Quit experimenting with leather or wood or whathaveyou. This is it. You can't tell from the photo, but the picks are translucent. And maybe it's my imagination, but each pick seems to have slight differences in how the edges are sculpted. That's not a bad thing. You'll soon have a favorite corner.

Excellent for acoustic or electric!
Especially for acoustic guitar! Excellent plectrum! Feels so nice in the hand and sounds great! I have the more expensive wegan type equivalent and I much prefer this one. Very good for both strumming and solo. Glides well on the strings.

Good quality pick that will last a long time.
The pick is hand finished from a nice, durable material. Fits well in the hand and has a nice “dig” on the strings.
