How do you turn on the backlight? Mine are not coming on.

The backlight is controlled by the blue wire. You either have to tie it into your running lights or attach it to the yellow wire from the key switch, which is key on power.

Very easy to install, although the attachment is different than the factory gauge. You may need a very large washer/spacer in the back.

Easy to install unit

Fit like a glove, I replaced my sun bleached 2002 unit, this was being used for a Yamaha 2002 200hp OX66. Very easy installation, undo a couple nuts, unplug 4 connectors, remove old unit, install new unit, bolt on new nuts (provided) re plug all the color coded connectors and test. That simple. Took me all of 30 minutes but I was making sure I did it right.

Easy to Replace

It was a simple replacement, all the wires were color coded with an instruction sheet telling which one wire NOT to connect if your motor was in a certain year range. It would have been nice to have a manual for set up and use of the gauge itself. Still haven't figured out how to get it to read the total hours off the engine.
