Im so mad!!!! ... At myself for not finding this product sooner.
Seriously, IDK where this has been my whole life. I've done hours and hours of curly hair products google searches. This came up as a suggestion from Amazon after looking at a popular overpriced item that ive tried, sorta liked and was debating on buying it again. Sooooo glad i didn't. The price on this is so affordable that I could buy three of them before i reached the price of the other one i was considering rebuying. After reading the description i noticed this product was SORT OF aimed more for those with kinky, really curly or coily hair types. But there's a small part that says all hair types. Being of latin ethnicity, I have normal ro almost fine hair, but its weird cause some parts are wavy, some parts are curly-curly and some parts just have like a weird VERY loose wave that is like almost staright. With years of over coloring, over straightening, over curling, over heating etc, thats expected from the trauma i put my hair through. Now im not gonna lie and say this item did a miraculous transformation on my hair but i do want to say that AFTER ONE USE I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT TO MYSELF "What the heck? Why have i never heard of this product". As soon as u put it on, it feels like when ur washing conditioner out of your hair. Like when u rinse and ur hair is wet and smooth and tangle free. No big deal though right? All leave ins feel like that at first. True. But this one fully dried and absorbed a good 60% of my frizz. It doesn't leave a gunky or sticky residue, you can run ur fingers through it a few times before u break the moisture barrier and see ur clumps of curls seperate and see frizz gradually come back. Whic is AWWWWSUMMMM! I have hair that belongs to a witch. My mom has no curl definition, it's PURE FRIZZ, it looks like she just got electrocuted. Poor lady bless her heart. Anyway, i ended up being gifted that not so beautiful birds nest of hair from her. If not conditioned it feels almost like straw, no joke. So my hair now feels sooooo soft. The fact that this item is so affordable makes the product THAT MUCH BETTER. anyone can get soft hair, but at $30 a bottle i only get to use those on the weekends. This one i can use it on the (semi) daily which means i get to feel beautiful on the daily. It does NOT LEAVE a grasy feeling in my hair AT ALL. Even the first time i used it and overestimated the amount needed, it didnt leave a greasy or oily feeling. Any good leave ins Ive come across has ALMOST ALWAYS left me with a yucky feeling in my hair that weighs it down and my curls get wieghed down. orrr LOOKS pretty but ugh, it doesn't feel pretty. Not this one! It paired well with the mousse i use. It did NOT pair well with a freeze IT style hair spray i use. Got a lit sticky icky, not the good kind tho lol. It seems to mix well with my shampoo and conditioner since i have no reported dandruff from the few days ive been using it. I have two daughters one with curls and one with a half slight wave and half straight. I put it on both of them (virgin hair) my wavy, staright daughter got SUPER SOFT HAIR it feels like when she gets her semi annual hair cuts and they straightened it. My curly daughters frizz was reduced by a good 80 percent i would say. She has really pesky fly away frizz at the back crown of her head feom being a lazy bum all her life, lol so those were the only frizz i noticed that got left behind. Her med/loose spiral curls in her waist length hair bounced ALL THE WAY up to under her elbows! It brought allll her curls out. Gave her back a softness that i have'nt felt in her hair in quite some time. Thats was more a of test item to see how it performed on thier hair. The item itself was purchased for my use. I am actually eager to use this when i get out the shower now. Lol. The smell is nice, not crazy good, but it doesn't bother me. Its got like a fruity or cirrusy floral smell. Idk how to explain it. I will say that while it doesn't leave my hair waxy or oily, it does leave a VERY LIGHT residue on my palms after working it in. Its not bothersome like an oil or anything, in fact my hands look dry and normal, but if i rub my fingers together i can tell there's a residue on my palms. That layer does wash off very easily. Sorry for the long review, but i want to let others know that its a quality product. Dont be fooled by the price cause it's rather low. I plan on checking out their items in addition to having a couple of these bottles always on my vanity shelf.

A+ leave in conditioner for my dry breakage prone hair🙌🏾
Summer is here and like every summer, my already dry brittle hay-like ends and edges are even dryer.🙄 Usually I get my hair cut at the start of the season and deep conditioning treatments at the salon to counteract the dryness and keep my ends from breaking off, but salons are closed which has left my hair...struggling. Thus far my regular hair care treatments that work in the cooler months have only marginally worked and a small chunk of my ends in the middle of my hair has already broken off( see picture ) so for the past few months I have been frantically buying hair stuff Amazon on the hunt for a hair care system that works. I finally stumbled upon this line and I LOVE it! The Quench is my favorite. My hair has never felt softer, it’s not frizzy, or greasy 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 and it really helped to bring out the natural curl pattern in my edges and the looser waves in the rest of my hair that I generally have to wrangle into submission with rollers to control the frizz and shrinkage. There is less shrinkage when it air dries and my hair was instantly a lot longer as well! My ends are soft and moisturized and my hair in general is full with lots of body but it’s so much more tame. Also almost no hair fall or breakage has occurred when combing wet or dry since using!😮 This is shocking because I have a TON of hair and for my whole life every time I’ve combed it my comb is FULL of hair, but not any longer.🥰 I decided to try pretty much everything in this line for my hair type after using the deep conditioning treatment and so far I am absolutely over the moon with all of the products I’ve tried. As per usual I’m gonna tell you how I used the products and what I did to get my hair to look like the pictures, so if you just want to know if I like it and it worked for me, I definitely do! and it did! and you need read no further🤓 If you want the additional skinny, keep reading! I shampoo my hair as I usually do with L’Oréal’s sulfate free thickening shampoo ( No matter what poo I try, I always come back to this one because it gets my hair and scalp clean and leaves my hair soft and not tangled ), then I work a generous handful of Aunt Jackie’s Fix my Hair or In control conditioner into my tresses and twist my hair into a lose bun tangles and all. I cover my head for 2 hours if using the Fix my hair and 5 mins if using the conditioner , then I comb through it with a wide tooth comb to get the tangles out. Super easy to comb btw, no breakage! I then use a rat tail comb to comb the treatment through only the scalp because my hairs get super dry and frizzy there as well***I have 3 b edges that turn bone straight, then gradually grow into 2b/c as the hair gets longer *** I use a nail brush to smooth down my edges, add a bit more of the conditioner to my ends then wash. I comb in 6 -7 quarter sized drops of AJ’s quench ( has great slippage!)through my hair and it feels smooth and soft. I let it air dry then apply curl -la-la throughout and put it into two braids pinned to my head to sleep if I want smaller waves, and up in a very high bun if I want bigger soft loose curls. I roll it in foam rollers if I want a tighter more curled vintage look. My go to no fuss quarantine mainstay atm is usually down after having it in a braid overnight, then I put AJ’s Curl la la in my hair to define the waves and on the ends of the waves that have straightened because of the braid so that my hair looks more polished at the ends. Notice how much more shiny it is after sleeping in the braids compared to when it air dried!😮 If it’s hot, I wear it up in braids with a scarf weaved through like the picture shows. Usually by day 5 my hair is dry at the ends and edges yet somehow also greasy, but after using this product line, it’s still shiny and bouncy like day 1! I do not use heat on my hair because it makes it angry,so what ya see is what ya get after it dries and I do no heat stuff to it. At this point in the summer season I have abandoned all my other hair care treatments except for my L’Oréal shampoo and jojoba for a little extra shine, and have opted to use Aunt Jackie’s exclusively! We’ll see what winter brings...🤔 This a 5 star product and I would definitely give the whole line of products a try, especially since they seem to have a product for every hair type.🥳 You can also get it at Target if they run out on Amazon.😘

Great and lightweight
Oh this maybe my go to for leave in conditioner. It's lightweight and my scalp just loved it. It smells AMAZING I caught myself saying they smell good then realized it was me lol. I like how it's non greasy but when you squeeze or rub through your hair it's there. Not to mention the price.

4c HAIR 🙋🏿♀️ Detailed Review
I've ordered this product from Aunt Jackie's for the deep moisture it promises coily hair. Although this is great for detangling (similar to a conditioner) it does not compare to other top products (especially TGIN) for moisturizing and styling for 4c hair. Disclaimer: I have color-treated (bleached) 4c hair that's very thick, dry, damaged, and easily turns into a kinky fro. 💁🏾♀️ ABOUT THE PRODUCT'S FORMULA → Product's Thickness: like a normal conditioner (form a squeeze bottle) consistency → Product's Creaminess: runny like a lotion/conditioner → Product's Scent: medium scent (not too overbearing) → Has obvious oil contents: No, just a lot of slip 💁🏾♀️ INITIAL APPLICATION / PRODUCT APPLIED ON HAIR: → Weightiness on Hair Wet: Heavy, weighs hair down → The weightiness of Dried Hair: Heavy, weighs hair down and makes hair wet again (as if you sprayed with water) → Stickiness on Hair: Some but not bad → Water needed to detangle: None 💁🏾♀️ STYLING / APPLICATION: → Best for dry hair (for styling): Maybe... will make your hair wet again but dries down fast. → Best for wet hair (as a base): Yes, ideal for detangling when hair is damp → A lot of product needed on dry hair: No, the product has a lot of slip → A lot of product needed on wet hair: No, since it's runny. → Adds Curl Definition: Very little → Adds Volume: No, adds weight. → Moisturizes when dry: No. → Dries down and keeps moisture: Yes, dries fast but hair is dry again. → Does product sit on to of hair: Yes, hair doesn't absorb product (similar to how oil sits on 4c hair) → Does product soften hair (when dry): Yes, but doesn't provide much moisture. 💁🏾♀️ PRODUCT DUPES AND/OR SIMILARITIES → This would be similar to a hair conditioner mixed with water (like the DIY method using a spray bottle). This has a lot more slip and works identical to a good conditioner you don't fully wash out your hair BUT without the white residue left behind on your hair. OVERALL/FINAL THOUGHTS This would be a great step one product (leave-in conditioner) to use after you wash your hair. Then you would need a thicker cream product (I recommend TGIN RepaiRx Curl Food Daily Moisturizer | https://www.amazon.com/Miracle-RepaiRx-Daily-Moisturizer-Natural/dp/B07K6TWB9D) to add on top of this one. You can also seal your hair with an oil, after applying this product and a cream. This Aunt Jackie's product will last a long time since you don't need much, it provides A LOT of slip. It's affordable and works for detangling heavy knots on my 4c hair and I would reorder for detangling purposes only. This would NOT be a good topper product or moisturizing product for daily use, I emphasis this is best for detangling damp hair only (for 4c hair). I hope this detailed reviewed really helps :)

Not for kinky roots
I bought this for a moisturizer but I don’t feel that it was effective. I believe I have 4C hair type and this was not a good leave in for me. I can see how it would work as a detangling product but that’s about it. I now use it for my curly wigs that need a good leave in to refresh my wig curls. My hair is natural and I usually braid it in a crown under my wigs. I allow it to breathe on my days off so I think my hair is healthy although it needs a trim. I would not recommend this product for anything in the 4’s. Save your money! I don’t feel that if left my hair greasy just after it dries my hair dries up too! I also spray water on it prior to usage and no difference. Aunt Jackie’s used to be that girl but sis cheap or something now. Purchase at your own risk cause maybe my Harriet Tubman roots just can’t get jiggy with Jackie no more. Instead of Aunt she’s a cousin that’s distant && twice removed! I won’t purchase any more products tbh. May the odds be in your favor && bless your hair

A must have for dry curly hair!
It has taken me 40 years and thousands of dollars to find the right products for my hair and Aunt Jackie's is the greatest. I use quench right after I shampoo and I leave it in. It detangles like nothing I have ever used and smells good. Not a strong smell but just enough. I wish I had found these products years ago so I would have loved my hair instead of disliking it. My hair is thick, long and curly. It was dry, frizzy, covered in split ends, and would get tangled so bad in the wind that I sometimes had to cut the tangles out. After my first use of quench, I seen a difference. It has been 3 months now and I am loving my hair. I never thought my hair would look this good. I strongly recommend this product for thick, Curly, hair. It does repair damaged hair.

Unsealed but excellent product.
New edit: first review was 1 star because of bottle unsealed but after I used it on clean and wet hair after using the super hydrating shampoo from the same brand it made my son’s hair so much easier to brush. My son has 3c hair that gets very dry and this product is excellent on clean and WET hair. I blow dried it after their results are good. The bottle was not sealed Seems it was used and ressent. Some of the product has leaked inside the cap and outside on the bottle too. Not impressed

Gorgeous stuff, love at first application.
I was looking for a leave in conditioner or a detangling lotion as I struggle with washing my hair due to chronic illness. I have fine 2A hair, very shiny but it has become a bit temperamental. It's actually a bit curlier than 2a but it's very fine. It's not as thick as it was before I had Covid tellegenic hair loss, and can frizz with too much keratin treatment or go flat with silicone conditioner. It tends to get dry and fragile so I also wanted an in between conditioner I could run through my hair to detangle between washes. I also have scalp sensitivity and tend to eczema. My hair is shoulder length. A lot of conditioners take a long time to rinse out and that's both tiring and even painful. Plus it's extra water usage. First impression was the conditioner smells truly lovely, gently herbal and natural like a meadow, it has a thin consistency and a lot of slip. It is pale green. I washed my hair carefully, gently blotted it and applied a little of the conditioner which I had poured into my hands. I massaged it in thoroughly and then let my hair dry naturally after using a brush and scrunching to allow curls. It dried very soft, no crunchiness. It looked shiny and my husband remarked in how curly it was. I have nice spiral curls lower down. The next day my hair was still soft and not tangled. The following day my hair started to feel a bit dry so I diluted some of the conditioner and ran it through the strands. Again my husband said how nice it looked. My hair looked and felt great again and it truly felt moisturised . I would recommend this Aunt Jackie's conditioner to anyone with hair like mine. Pros: You don't need much Smells delicious Moisturises the hair well Can be used as an in-between wash detangler, so dual purpose Natural ingredients Did not irritate my skin Cons If you had very thick hair, the bottle would maybe not last long. It's quite expensive Unknown: I don't know how this would work on other curly girl hair types. Conclusion I actually think this is the best hair product I have come across in years. I am not paid for my opinion, it is genuinely fantastic stuff, particularly as it has a dual purpose for me. I have bought the shampoo now. I shall see how they work together. For me it was worth the money. Picture is third day, second application. Nice curls

Buy this, NOW!
Your curls will thank you! It took me many years to realize that the answer to my super dry (frizzy) hair is a leave-in conditioner; and it's THIS particular leave-in conditioner. It's not sticky or heavy when your hair dries, and when you wash it off, your hair remains soft and easy to manage. Love this!
