Can any recent buyers comment on the quality in 2015?

I am very happy with it. For everyday use it does more than expected. I use it on my 2nd comp that serves as a media and archive repository.

How is this.. cordless?

The mouse looks just like the picture on Amazon - it clearly shows the cord and PS2 connector. It also says "Cordless", but that's a mistake! Amazon should correct this. KeyTronic does not make a cordless mouse - see http://keyboards.keytronic.com/home/keyboards/mice/mice.html. Also, referring to the other comment you received, the term "Optical" refers to the laser transceiver inside the mouse that detects motion, not to the cable, which is standard copper wire.
