Rhode Island Novelty Child Pink Cowboy Hat with Blinking Tiara

Its made of a felted-kind-of-paper- like tag-board, or cardboard, so it wont hold up in the rain at all, but its cute, the lights do work, there is a soft sheet of foam paper between the child's head and the electrical component. In short, its exactly as advertised, came appropriately packaged, and I am pleased. It took me a few seconds to figure out which piece of black plastic that sticks out on the electrical component to use to turn on the blinking lights in the tiara, but, hey- its inexpensive and it only took me two tries. Oh, maybe its made of dyed interfacing-type bonded fabric- its rigid enough to hold shape. My little three-year-o;d Princesses will love it. I only wish there had been two in stock when I bought. I ultimately decided on the white child's cowgirl hat with the pink star and trim for the other twin, and that was a fiasco. THAT WHITE HAT fits an adult. Choose this one for a tot!

I love this hat. I bought 2 for two 7 year olds to wear in a talent show. These fit them so well. With the srap tighten, the hat stayed on with they did cartwheels. I have seen other reviews stating the hats smashed when they received them. My hats were Packed well, had great structure and much higher quality than I expected for the price. The lights were bright and easy to turn on and off. The switch was out of the way and neither girl complained that it pushed on their head.

Our 7 year old had a cowboy breakfast at school so daddy went on the hunt for a cowgirl hat for such a special occasion. What better cowgirl hat than one with a tiara on it! Not only that, while at school, she discovered that it also lights up! (Clearly neither one if us read the product description completely because it was just as much of a surprise for us as it was for her.) This is a very cute hat. Much nicer looking in person than in it's listing. It is pretty sturdy, even though it's a weird felt fabric kind of material and not a hard plastic, and you can see slight crinkles in it from where she's played with it. It did have a run of the shoelace type chin strap but that is no longer there (most likely due to our 7 year old taking it off) and some of the trimming is starting to fray off. But it has lasted in good condition for over a month. I do wish it ran a bit bigger as it is obviously too small for her head. But still a pretty good hat for a cowboy breakfast.

Ok, so I don't usually make time for writing reviews. But we just got this hat today for my 3-year-old daughter's Halloween costume and it is sooooooo adorable! I don't know how I missed the fact that it blinks? I guess I was just looking for a pink cowgirl hat, the price was right, so I ordered it. When she saw it she was ecstatic!!! We also purchased some cheap little pink and white pistols with holsters to go with it, she's in heaven! Now I just have to keep her away from them for another month & a half until trick or treat ;-) For those worried about the size, it fits my 3-year-old fine, although her head is a bit on the bigger side. But it has a white chin string, so that helps keep it on. Really, the price is so low, to me it's worth it even if the hat is a bit big. Hope that helps.

I don't like that the battery compartment is in the top of the inside without any cushion or protection.

UPDATED: 05-12-14 My grand daughter still LOVES this hat and it's still going strong. We've replaced the batteries (of course) but we've had no problems. I saw her wearing it yesterday whooping it up like the little cow girl she still loves to be and I just had to update this review. This little hat has been through the ringer and is still going strong. Nice! I purchased this hat for my grand daughter. She has a small collection of various dress-up items but no cowgirl hat. Since this one was blingy and lit up I bought it. Well, she will not take it off. I finally had to tell her that it would get ruined if it went in the bath with her so I could give her a bath without the hat. She can turn it on and off herself. It's holding up pretty good (even through naps and the trampoline). I would buy this again.

This hat was beautiful my little girl wore it at a christmas concert and she stood out with the flashing lights .
