Akai Ryu Red Dragon Venus Fly Trap (1-Pack) by Wellspring Gardens

I'm so pleased w/ this order. The plants (named Rosa and Harmony) arrived in perfect condition. Excellent color and size. They will be a welcomed addition to my other Venus Flytraps.

"I'm PISSED"--never have I gotten a plant(s) that I ordered in this condition. In the past, all plants have arrived wrapped in paper. These were taped over with masking tape. NO PAPER @ all to protect them. They were dead, black and stuck under the tape. Who does that? Basically I paid for dirt! One plant did have a stalk sticking from under the tape, but the head of the fly trap was black/dead. Really!! I won't be purchasing anymore plants thru Amazon.

Great plant and learning experience for my 5 year old. Plant was larger than stated and has stayed healthy for 9 months. I'm very please.

I am an experienced Venus fly trap grower. Right now I have seven, with different varieties, all doing well. But... this plant died.

I can't speak highly enough. The babe arrived with three fully active traps, one of which was fed a fly before shipping. 💗 Potting mix was nice and saturated and there's even two new traps starting! Very healthy and happy plant even after travelling accross the country. It was treated with care in preperation for shipping. I will return to this seller for all my carnie needs. 🤗

When received plants were destroyed tried saving the plants barely anything left a month later they are dead.

The plants are alive and appear healthy. I am expecting the color of Akai Ryu to gain the color that it should exhibit. I realize that there dormancy period is nearing and I may not see its true color until after that period of time.

So they came Alive....That was cool. But then after awhile they started turning black and rotting away and having this infestation of tiny white/cream bugs I have NEVER seen before so IDK what they are....that I could not get rid of because you can't put....ANY....Chemicals on Venus fly traps. So I just had to keep trying to use the distilled water to flood the bugs away. And it was going fine....A bunch of the bigger blooms had died BUT it had started growing two tiny green blooms so I was confident that with tender care and repeated just flooding of the distilled water that they would bounce back and the infestation....Whatever the heck they were....would be gone....That was....Until My Kids Dad Came And "RINSED THEM OFF WITH THE SHOWER HOSE BECAUSE HE BELIEVED THAT WOULD QUICKLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM" Needless to say the two remaining Blooms that were doing so well....DIED. And its been awhile now and all the Bugs are gone and I was trying to see if I just give the roots water if theyll come back....Cause I am patient and Ive seen Miracles happen with plants....But sadly....They are gone. My only complaint was WTF Were those Bugs? And How Do I Get Rid Of Them IF They Come Back Again!?!? Cause they are what killed the plant. I have a Venus Fly Trap Dome Pot thats for Venus Fly Traps so it wasn't that, and I have the Venus Fly Trap soil specifically, And I have GALLONS Of Distilled Water....So I had everything the plants could need. I will buy another one; and if it is successful I'll update the review and add pictures. IDK Where the pics went that I took of the Other one....Ill add them too whenever I find them.
