ROB'S THREE MONTH REVIEWI purchased the Nextbase 122 Dash Cam three months ago, installed it the next day and been in constant use since. I am very pleased with it.I'd had cheap £30 generic dashcams before and while they're cheap, the picture quality was quite poor and they seemed to stop working properly after a couple of months. So I was looking for a mid range dashcam and had actually been recommended a different Nextbase camera from the Which? website, which came out at about £150. Shopping around though I found this one for £60 and gave it a go.Installation: The Nextbase 122 has a clever install set up where the base sticks to the windscreen and then the camera uses a strong magnet and a clip to connect to the base.The camera: The base and the camera feel very well built. The shape means it is less obtrusive than other dashcams I've had.Using: The menu is simple to set up and use The picture quality is good, there are higher pixel cameras but this is perfectly adequate. I would thoroughly recommend.

I got this as its power connection is USB, I have front and rear dashcams powered from the car when the engine is running. I dont have it set up for parking mode as Id rather not risk a flat battery even when the system senses when the battery is low and switches the camera off. So i got this with 2 big USB power banksI use this if Im away for the weekend and have to park in public carparks or hotel carparks for any period of time, (the battery back on my fix cameras only last for around 8hrs) So the power bank can last for quite some time so leaving the camera in the car in parking mode works really well and I can just swap the power back over when needed, not sure how long it would last but not fully tested it but after 24hrs it was still showing almost fully as the power drain from this camera is quite low in parking mode.I keep the camera sat on the dash the other side of the mirror and then hide the cable down the A pillar.I bought a USB power bank with Solar so that possibly in Summer it could be charged if say out in the new forest or the beach.Great little dash cam with support to match as the supplier is actually contactable in the UK

The camera is great and the picture quality is detailed. Well desrves the Which magazine award.It was smaller than I expected but hides very well behind the mirror.Its hard to accurately answer the question 'is it easy to install'. If you are happy to have the power cord dangling down the windscreen then its ever so easy to install. If you prefer to hide the cable under your headlining, inside the A-pillar ,under the dashboard all the way to the power outlet then its a real pain to install - but that applies to any dash cam.I previously had a dashcam wired in which failed. The connector was exactly the same on both cameras so I had hoped not to have to uninstall the wiring from under the head lining. Unfortunately although the metal part of the connector was the same the plastic part of the connector was larger than that supplied iwth the camera which prevented it from fully engaging into the new camera. So in the end I had to remove the previous wiring and install the cable that came with this camera.

Driving is becoming a really dangerous affair in that electric cars can accelerate faster than "normal" combustion engined cars, with drivers thinking that acceleration alone will get them out of trouble....but it doesn't and, moreover, despite younger drivers effectively "better qualified" than us oldies, they seem to think that normal courtesies of the road do NOT apply to them....seemingly, red lights are now "optional" and, when an obstruction in the road (like a parked car) is on their side, they do not feel the need to wait before proceeding past when a vehicle coming in the opposite direction clearly has "priority"Sadly, resultant, a dash-cam really is a necessity to protect yourself as much as protect other road users...indeed, seemingly too, whenever there is an accident the police leave roadside messages asking for dash-cam footage to assist in their enquiries.Sadly too, because of the way that insurance companies work, dash-cam evidence from your camera will help your case enormously in the unfortunate case that you are a "victim" of some of the crazy drivers out there.This is now my third NextBase dash-cam and whilst it is not the all singing, all dancing version, it does give me all of the features I need to feel "safe" when driving on Britain's crumbling road network - and for a relatively small cost too. Uploading information from the camera onto my laptop is very easy and the quality of the recordings is more than adequate too....and is certainly good enough to send onto the YouTubers who are always looking for evidence of bad driving habits (as indeed are too the police who in various parts of the country are more than happy to take upload evidence of bad driving examples wherein which they can pursue the driver in question......yes, I know it's lazy policing, but at least it's something that they can do from the comfort of their office chairs! 😂Easy to fit and sits high in the windscreen on a 3M sticky pad meaning that it does not intrude into the driver's field of view (unlike the old models that were on rather large suction padded brackets!

This camera is very good, clear picture, very easy to install.What the description does not tell you is that it is limited to a 32gb memory card. This will only store a few days worth of recordings.

I've always bought cheap dash cams but they don't last or don't perform well. I've lost count of the times I wanted footage only to find they hadn't recorded the event. This time I treated myself to the british brand that had the best reputation. Inboxed it did everything it was meant to. It connected immediately to the nextbase website and checked for firmware updates, reporting back that they were up to date. My existing SD card was incompatible and I was shocked at the prices of those that were. I opted to buy their own card which came with a travel case for the camera. Waiting for it to be delivered and u don't expect there to be any issues, judging by my experience so far, but I will update if there's anything to say. In my opinion this is a great little camera and great value for money.

Good quality video and records everything without any problems. The size and design doesn’t disturb the view when driving and it’s easy to use. Cable is big enough to hide around the dashboard it’s a big plus. Special recommend for someone who drives for a job.

It was good, easy to use, started to work from the beginning. The documentation on the web is good as well.

La,tarjeta nunca se pudo formatear, marca error y no graba. Muy mala. El proveedor no te manda una etiqueta pré pagada de mensajería para la devolución, tienes que pagar mensajería, que cuesta casi lo mismo que la cámara. Jamás le compren a este proveedor

Die Kamera kostet nur den Bruchteil von anderen, allerdings ist dafür im Lieferumfang sogar alles dabei was man braucht (Ladekabel, 12V Adapter, Halterungen, Speicherkarte etc., bei anderen Herstellern kostet es alles extra).Die Qualität der Videos ist auch völlig ausreichend. Man darf kein 4K erwarten, aber man erkennt wirklich alles (am Tag).Bei Dunkelheit habe ich die Videos noch nicht getestet.Fazit: Für den Preis bekommt man sehr viel, die Bedienung ist auch einfach gestaltet und somit als Einsteiger Modell oder auch auf langfristige Zeit super zu gebrauchen.
