Great product!
Works great! This is my second one. Had the first one about six years and it just suddenly quit working. Batteries were fine and could find no issues. The inside display was still working so I only got the outside unit. Put batteries in it and it started working immediately. Love it!

Easy installation
Easy to install and pair with my weather monitor inside. Seems to be accurate for wind speed, rain amounts, and temperature.

Probably worth the trouble.
I like AcuRite, but there are a few issues. First of all, the sensors deteriorate. I think this is the fifth one I've bought over the years. They seem to last only 2-3 years, judging by my order history. Second issue is the installation of a new sensor with an existing indoor unit. The instructions tell you to install batteries and set the selector. Never works for me. I always have to do a hard boot of the indoor component. Pull batteries and power, push the reset button for 20 seconds, then wait and see if it worked.

Works the same as the older Non-Iris 5-in-1 sensor, though you may have pairing issues...
The thing about these weather stations is they are subjected to some pretty extreme conditions. I honestly wanted to go with a different brand, but my last 5-in-1 (non-Iris) pro lasted about 9 years in the California sun. I also have an older Acurite WIFI hub and 4-5 other sensors I use around the house and in the garages to monitor temps. If I went with another brand, then I'd have to buy more sensors. I decided to buy this sensor and give a little more life to the hardware I'm already running. Setup was a direct swap for the old sensor and I installed new Lithium batteries. What I wasn't expecting was a display unit to be included and it does support WIFI. It cannot see other sensors, but can push the data from the 5-in-1 sensor into the My Accurite app. The setup of the WIFI is a bit odd by having to connect your phone or laptop to the WIFI broadcast by the display, point your browser to http://192.168.4.1 and then join it to your home WIFI. From there you can register it in the My Accurite app by using the device ID located under the display's battery cover. I would have rated it 4 stars but since it came with a display I'm giving it 5. I tried pairing this with my older Acurite display. I tried power cycling it, resetting it, and it wouldn't display the data from the sensor. I made sure they were both set to Channel A. So I elected to use the new display and my Acurite WIFI hub saw the new sensor with no issue. When I came back into the kitchen where the old display was powered on a couple hours later, it was showing sensor data from the new 5-in-1. I have no idea why it took so long, but it is working with all of my displays and hubs just like the old non-Iris 5-in-1 sensor was. I did see a few reviews stating they couldn't get it to pair with their older displays, but I'd recommend waiting after doing a reset since it did work for me eventually.

Works well.
I'm know weather station expert but I was interested in getting the wind speed in a computer and this does that and seems to be accurate.

Great Unit
I bought my first Acurite 5 in 1 seven or eight years ago. The temperature sensor finally gave out. I could have ordered a new temperature sensor and simply replaced that part of my weather sensor, but shipping cost for the one ounce sensor exceeded the cost of the temperature sensor itself. An entire new sensor unit was only twice the cost of the single part I needed, so I considered the 7+ years of faithful service in sometimes brutal conditions and decided that other parts might be close to the end of their expected life cycle as well and decided to simply replace the whole unit. It was reasonably priced, and compatible with my older display unit so it was a good bargain. Only took me a few minutes to bring down the old sensor off my 15 foot iron pole, and install the new one. It began transmitting immediately to my display unit. I look forward to another 5 to 8 years of data from this unit. I am very pleased with how well it holds up when one considers it is exposed to the elements 24/7/365. I love my Acurite 5-in-1. The only feature I wish it had that it does not, is a wind "gust" measurement. Aside from that, I call my Acurite close to perfect!

Instantly detected by the receiver/screen!
It’s wonderful that AcuRite sells the transmitter separately from the receiver/display - it cuts the cost in half to keep an extremely accurate weather station up and running! I’ve had this weather station for about ten years, and it’s been through three hurricanes until yesterday, when it finally died. I was elated to find just the transmitter for sale on Amazon. I live in Florida, and the last hurricane went right over my house! An EXCELLENT tip for mounting this - I have this attached to the top of a six foot fence post, at the top of a ten foot 3/4” PVC. After two pieces of PVC SNAPPED in high winds, I figured out that sliding a 1/2” piece of EMT into the PVC! I use 3” deck screws (4) drilled right through the side into the post!
