I bought this hardwire kit for my dashcam so I could keep my windshield clean and power the camera without needing to plug it into the cigarette lighter—and I’m super happy with it! Installation was easier than I expected. The instructions were clear, and all the necessary fuse adapters and tools were included. I had it wired up and running in under 30 minutes, and I’m by no means a car expert. Just make sure to double-check your car’s fuse layout and use a multimeter if you’re unsure! The build quality is solid. The cables are thick, durable, and long enough to tuck neatly along the headliner and down into the fuse box. It also has low-voltage protection, which gives me peace of mind that my car battery won’t be drained if I leave it in parking mode overnight. Since installing it, my dashcam starts up instantly with the ignition and switches into parking mode perfectly. Zero issues so far.

The product was perfect!! just what i needed for my 522GW dash cam. I installed this in my Ford Fiesta ST180. Seems to be plenty of cable for a bigger car too! Just do your home work and decide what fuse your going to jump from i used ignition live from my rear wiper in the glove box fuse box.

Great hardwire kit, very easy to install

Good quality wiring kit with quality cables and long leads. I had to return the first kit if bought as it failed to power the dashcam. When the second kit one failed to power the dashcam, I emailed Nextbase for help. I received a reply within minutes generated from by their AI system. In the email, I was informed the kit only works with the engine running. All the previous Nextbase kits I installed, you could leave the ignition on ACC and it would power the dashcam. Apparently this is to save the cars battery life. If this was in the product description, then I failed to notice it (I have not bothered to check again). So after 3rd installation, the dashcam now powers up once the engine is running. This is a clever though, as I connected to the 12V (cigar lighter) fuse. The 12V socket powers up in the ACC mode but the dashcam doesn't. Same fuse, different outcome.

Bought this product to save having to use the standard 12v cigarette lighter. Once the suitable size fuse was found on the car, by following the supplied instructions it was fairly straight forward to fit. No problems at all, and happy with this hard wire kit.

This kit was very easy to fit and contained everything I needed to perform an install in my Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. As this vehicle has a very large drive battery supporting the quite small auxiliary (12V) battery I was able to choose one of the permanent-supply 12 volt fuses in the fusebox to piggyback off and run the dashcam. Plenty of cable length meant nothing needed to be extended.

Matériels universels pour différentes voitures, j'ai utilisé ce kit d'alimentation pour une Dashcam NextBase 522GW sur un 3008-2. Tout c'est bien passé, les explications d'installations sont très claires, livré avec 2 types de fusible, dans mon cas j'ai utilisé le petit modèle. Livré aussi avec un outil permettant de cacher le câble derrière les caoutchoucs et divers panneaux. Très satisfait de mon achat.

Works perfectly, as described. Although fiddly and a mildly physical job to get it installed, it was also fairly easy to do. There's also really good videos on the Nextbase website that show you how to install it all. Great quality, I love my Nextbase dashcams.
