Woodpeckers Precision Woodworking Tools MINISQUARE Mini Square

I bought this small square for two reasons; (1) I needed a smaller square to do some layout work (pencil on wood) in tight quarters and (2) I wanted to trial one of Woodpecker's tools because I had heard good things and this was one of their least expensive items.When I opened the shipping package I was surprised by how small the square was - even though it was per the stated dimensions. It just strikes you as very small. But I chose it for it's small size and it has turned out to be an extremely useful tool. One of the things that I like is that the two legs of the square are the same thickness so you can use it to mark lines on surfaces that are 90 degrees apart. Many squares have a thicker short leg and a thinner "blade" for the longer leg.I don't know - it's just a tool that I didn't realize I needed so much until I got it and now that I have it, I use it a ton. It's very well made and its small size allows me to keep it always handy in a pocket. And its made in the USA :)-Very happy

Met my needs perfectly

My grandfather was a master machinist in the Navy during Korea and was machining parts and tools till the day he died. He always wanted me to take over but I made poor decisions. But I still appreciate machined and accurate tools and this square is beautiful and compact. I plan on getting into modeling and small projects so this will be perfect. The craftsmanship is excellent and this actually shipped and got to me 3 days sooner than expected so definitely a 5 star product all around. I plan to order more from this buyer as projects come up.

Cute little square; good for checking chisels, plane irons and LITTLE corners. Be aware this is a VERY small square but handy and of the usual awesome Woodpeckers quality. Everything I have from them is impeccable.

I purchased the Woodpeckers Mini Square as a gift for a friend who is passionate about woodworking, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. My friend appreciates that it's small enough to fit in a pocket yet comes with a tray for safekeeping. It's made in the USA and backed by a lifetime warranty. That it will maintain its precision or be replaced adds a level of trust in this product, too.

The square is very nice minus the one slight defect. Mine had small dents on one edge of the square. For the price you pay and the "high quality" of woodpecker tools I would have expected a better inspection of the tool. It still operates just fine but annoying to have to see the dents on a high end tool.

I bought this mini-square to "test the waters" of Woodpeckers tools before investing in their more expensive tools and I am thoroughly impressed with the quality. This square is perfect for setting up my blades where my 6" square was too big in some cases. The square has a nice heft for the size and the finish is beautiful. The storage case is an added perk. After setting up my saws with this square, all my cuts were dead on. I'd highly recommend Woodpeckers. Just note that the size is very small, but I knew that when I ordered it. You can see the difference between the mini square and my 6 inch double square in the attached photo. Overall an excellent product.

Originally got this just to be able to brag about having a Woodpeckers square and annoy the guys at work. But it actually has been very useful as a quick tool to check and dial in saws, jigs, etc. I now have a more grown-up Woodpeckers square, and this baby square reads dead square against it, so the WP accuracy is still there.... just in way cute size.
