Where does the lubricant go on this treadmill? It came with a half small bottle (I assume it's oil/lubricant), but no explanation. Thanks!

Glenda, the lubricant goes between the belt you walk on and the treadmill deck. Just lift the belt and squirt or spray lubricant. There are a few sites on the internet that have videos showing you how.

does this stop running by itself after 30 minutes like the lower model? For me that would be dangerous if it just stopped while I was walking.

It doesn't "just stop". If you are using one of the pre-programmed workouts, and time ends, it gradually slows down until it stops.

how wide is it on the floor?

It is a tad over 2 foot wide and 4 foot long, and can be folded up if you need it out of the way.
