Not Your Mother's Texturizing Sea Salt Spray, 8-ounce

My favorite sea salt spray! Hands down the best styling product I’ve ever used on my wavy hair. Disclaimer I do have oily hair so this helps to get every inch of volume out of my hair which I absolutely love and the smell is incredible. The hold is incredible. It’s not stiff or hard. It’s more of a flexible soft texture. It holds all day and honestly even into the second day. My hair feels healthier when I use this product and I love how effective it is on keeping my waves tamed without the frizz.

I am absolutely amazed by this product! This was my first time trying it and I wasn't disappointed. My hair is naturally a 2C wavy texture with a few 3A curls. I've always hated my hair and while I don't always heat style, I would constantly brush my hair in order to smooth out the texture and relax my waves. But recently I started on a journey to embrace my hair for what it is and so I've been trying a bunch of products to enhance my texture. This beach spray is a definite winner for me! Not only does it work, but the price is more than reasonable. It's now become one of my favorite products, especially for refreshing 2nd day hair. I recommend following the instructions on the bottle and ONLY use this on your lengths and ends. Spraying your root area might make it look greasy. I prefer using this on 2nd day dry hair as a refresher. It's a fine mist spray and I use two sprays on each side, and two sprays in the back. Then I just scrunch it in. You really don't want to use too much or your hair will feel weird. But sparingly it really does give my hair that beachy feel and look. My hair is long and fine, so it's easy for it to look flat and lifeless. This seems to make my hair look fuller which I definitely appreciate! It does make the hair feel a bit dryer than usual, but that's typically what beach sprays will do. But this one doesn't make it feel like straw. Honestly I can't think of anything bad to say about this product. It works for me and the ingredients are good. There are silicones but they're water soluble, meaning they can be removed with a sulfate-free shampoo. Lastly, here are some tips to try if you're struggling with this product. It may be necessary to "prep" your hair before using it, especially if your hair is naturally straight or you have a barely-there wave. Keep in mind that this isn't a miracle product that will instantly give you waves and curls; it more so just enhances what you already have. 1.) If your hair is pin straight with no wave, try sleeping in a loose braid or two braids. This will help form a wave pattern. Then when you wake up, don't brush your hair! Just take out the braids and loosely separate the waves with your fingers. Then use a few spritzes of this on just the lengths and ends and scrunch in. 2.) If you already have wavy or curly hair, I found this works best on 2nd day hair following a mostly product-free wash day. I just wash and apply leave in, no styling creams or gels. I then proceed with my regular plop method and either diffuse or air dry. Then, on day 2, I spritz this in my hair. Honestly you can use this on the same day you wash, but because beach sprays tend to be a bit drying I prefer waiting until my hair has some natural oil in it. This spray almost doubles as a dry shampoo, but for your lengths and ends and not your roots. I also don't like using this on wet hair because it contains alcohol which could result in "flash drying" and potentially create frizz. But this may not be the case for you. Just try different methods until you find what works best for you!

First off, it smells good. To me, at least. And the smell isn't overbearing after you've worn the stuff in your hair a few minutes. It smells a bit like coconut to me... As far as how well it works, I would say that it worked well for me. Beachy waves are what I naturally have (on a good hair day anyway) but in the winter, my hair flattens out because of the cold air. So I got this hoping to make my hair look the way it wants to in a sense haha... It does just that. It pumps up the volume a bit and redefines my curls/waves. It does make my hair a bit dry, but it's not that bad. I plan on using this on days when my hair's kinda oily because it hasn't been washed in a couple days anyway. It doesn't frizz up that much to me, but I sprayed my hair upside down instead of directly on top. The bottle itself is pretty nice. The nozzle has a lock so you don't accidentally spray after you're done with it and waste product. Shipping was standard...I ordered it on a Friday, it shipped on Monday and I got it that Wednesday.ir I feel like this would work well with medium thickness hair, like mine. If your hair is really thin it might just dry your hair out and make it straw like, but you never know. If you have realllyyy thick hair, it will probably do next to nothing. Try it out, it's not like it's super expensive. I wish I could find this stuff where I live because it would be cheaper then... :/

This spray is the best. It gives volume and texture without any residue on my hair. Smells great and is perfect for my sensitive skin.

Super happy that these bundles exists - Target usually sells them individually for nearly that same price so I’ll definitely be buying from here moving forward. Me and my husband love this brand for him because the difference is like night and day; it accentuates his curls and lasts the entire day :) And personally I like the smell it gives off, it’s subtle and salty and it does its job. I definitely recommend ⭐️

Not really working for my long hair. Too heavy and it leaves a feeling of dirtiness to it. My co-worker used and recommended. Her locks were beautiful. Would recommend you try a small bottle first.

I love this stuff!! It gives my hair the perfect beach curls without getting crunchy or stiff. I've tried a bunch including Bumble and Bumble Surfer Spray and this stuff is the absolute best! Highly recommend!!

This took quite a while to get here, and when it got here its broken and it has leaked all over the package.

I have dead-straight long dark hair. I rarely use hair products besides shampoo/conditioner as it all makes my hair go flat as a pancake. I have been using this product for about a week and I am happy with the results. I towel dry my hair first then brush it out. With my hair still damp, I spray this product into different hair sections. I then use my hands to run it through my hair and and let it air dry. I dislike blow dryers. I have find that for my hair it does add some volume and possibly some texture to my hair which I love. There is slight coconut smell but isn't strong. I will have to see how my hair responds during the summer hot days but so far, I really like it.
