Great cooler, especially for the money.
This is a great cooler, especially for the money. It is big enough that it will last a day at the skate park for my three boys and I and it keeps it the water cold all day. There have been a couple of times I’ve had to crank the lid to keep it from leaking, but most of the times it, it doesn’t leak with nominal tightening. I definitely recommend this product and would buy it again.

Great - GREAT little cooler ...
Wife wanted something basic to make Home Brewed Tea & then keep it cold & be able to take on a road trip & not to worry about spillage. She popped ICE into this cooler - popped the whole thing into the Fridge over night - made her tea - took the cooler out of the Fridge - emptied the old ice out which was kept in it over night with fresh ice - our Fridge makes ICE like crazy - thus - we're not ICE poor (LOL) ... & then poured in the Freshly Brewed Tea - works like a camp upto 6 odd hours ...

The greatest invention in the history of man
How people walk around with bottles of water that turn warm in 20 minutes I'll never know you can literally, if you put enough ice it'll still be cold 2 days later... I work in the fields and I couldn't live without this thing I'll never forget the day when I was a little kid my grandfather and me had been hauling hay all day and he hands me this filthy water bottle covered in dirt and hay I take a drink and it's cold it was wonderful it was heaven I've carried one ever since... plus for any of you hippies out there think about how much plastic you save carrying one of these literally I've saved thousands upon thousands of plastic bottles over the years (by the way I'm hippie too). Lest anyone think that was an insult

Large and heavy, but it does the job!
First off, let me say that anything made by Coleman is going to be high quality and do what it claims it will do. This jug is no exception. I only had two issues with it: 1.) It leaked every time I drank out of it. Not a major leak, but just enough to be irritating. 2.) It is HEAVY when filled. I consider myself a mostly strong person, but I found it difficult to left the jug when it was full. I am a woman, so a man might have an easier time transporting this. I also have back and neck issues, which make it difficult to lift while in a seated position. So, to imagine a heavy jug that is difficult to lift, and then having it leak on you, I assure you, something had to give. I moved on to a half gallon size Coleman jug, and it's perfect! This gallon jug would be better for a 2 or 3-person outing. I never drank the entire thing, even when working in extreme heat. It can accommodate two or more trays of ice (I only have 2, so that's the max I can use). I found that, when using one tray of ice, my water was no longer cold after about 4 hours. It is best to use this with 2-3 trays of ice cubes. :)

I will admit that I probably look like and idiot hoisting this thing up in the air ...
I have been using this jug for a couple of weeks now and it meets my expectations. I had a minor leak here or there the first few days, but I found that this occurs only when the seal is wet when the top is screwed on. I just make sure it's dry when I screw on the lid and there are no leaks. You can't beat the price to have iced water (or whatever drink you prefer) readily available at all times. Quit wasting your money on bottled water! Plus, I found that if you fill it with a bunch of ice and water, it takes longer than 24 hours for the ice to melt completely. I will admit that I probably look like and idiot hoisting this thing up in the air for a refreshing swig, but oh well. I probably look like an idiot with or without this thing.

These are Great Big Jugs, I like them alot
I have had Coleman water Jugs since I was a kid. We took them with us everywhere soccer, baseball, football, camping and they still work to this day. I even carted one around in the back of an old pickup that I used when I worked for a fencing company and it got its fair share of abuse, but held up just fine. Now that I have been out of my parents house for years and gotten married when my wife and I started playing on an adult soccer league we needed something that could carry enough cool water for both of us on a hot day so I turned to the trusty Coleman jug. This one gallon jug has lived up to our expectations. I really like the smooth action the spout spout has when opening and how durable it is. Previously to getting this jug I had a different make/model 1/2 gallon jug and it had a snapping lid that took some effort to open and the lid was not nearly as durable as the Coleman spout.

Not a yeti, so y complain?
Well, I live in a tropical climate so it's really not fair for me to judge this product like this. But I couldn't resist trying it out as a cooler because it fits the shape and size I was looking for. So what I do is, I freeze water in it. Then I take it with me kayaking or whatever fishing. It fits in a round space I have available. I drink the water as it thaws, which is quick once the sun hits it. Or I can hide it and it thaws a little slower. The water stays cold for about 8 hours in direct sunlight. With 13 hours of sun light during summer it has warmed a few times. The thermos will sometimes leak when it tips over like other ppl have said. Makes a good jack n coke so I'm cool with it.

Durable and fancy
This is the ultimate Tree-planting water jug. The reason being is that it can also double as a seat. You can slide it easily into your planting bags, great for 4k walk-ins! The handle is a nice feature. Also its next to indestructible, I've had a Powerstroke F-350 Flat-Deck Dually drive over this thing and it heald together! So I got 2 of them, both of them made it through a 7 month tree-planting season, now that's rare!
