This is the first time I've tried matcha tea.....turns out I really love it. I love the fact it comes with its own spoon and mixer so I'd recommend this to anyone. Obviously my next purchase will just be the tea itself now so this is a great starter kit to buy first. The tea is so light and easy to blend so it makes a delicious drink, I have mine with unsweetened almond milk if anyone is unsure on what milk product to use with it. Just add a small amount of water to the tea first to start blending then add your hot milk. Makes a lovely brew!

I got this set since I wanted both the matcha and the little whisk and I love it! The powder is very vibrant, which I looked for because from what I've read, that is a sign of a good quality matcha. The whisk is quite powerful which surprised me and it worked very well. The only thing is that I gave it a 4/5 for value because I bought it for £15 on sale which I thought was better than the £22 I see now but that varies on people. Overall, this is a very cute little set for people who want to casually sip on some matcha tea and enjoy the making process :)

Tasty matcha and the measurement spoon is also cute. It measures a nice amount of match for a smaller cup. However, the whisk started to wiggle soon after purchase and does not blend matcha optimally. I contacted Purechimp and they gladly replaced it for me. Very friendly customer service as well! I would maybe go with the bamboo whisk if you want to avoid risking getting a faulty whisk.

Waited a bit before reviewing. It is great. The whisk works like a champ too. But funny story - I got a bunch of hearing aid click domes(?) inside the box of the whisk though which was weird. I contacted them about it and they were quick to offer a replacement for free (which I turned down). Just thought I’d say that. Amazon ought to pack it better and ensure there’s no weird stuff inside the boxes... other than that though, the product itself is good. The flavour is nice, I do more than the recommended spoon though as I find it’s not strong enough. I’m nearly finished with my jar!

This is my first foray into matcha tea and I am very impressed! The tea is a nice colour green and mixed well using the supplied whisk. I've been doing a bit of research and have found that the best way to drink this is not using boiling water (as that can burn the powder and make it taste fishy). The best temp is around 80°C which you can achieve using an electric kettle, or like me you can pour the boiling water out into a glass, then transfer it into another glass which should get the temperature a bit lower. Then you can whisk the tea into the glass (I use a bit more than the recommended 1tsp, I use 1 1/2tsp). Then you can top it up with hot water (make sure it's not boiling!) Or you can use hot milk which makes an amazing latte! I use hazelnut milk which I really like as the nuttiness of the milk complements the earthy tea really well. The only complaint I've had is if you really need to make sure the tea is whisked well, other wise it can be slightly gritty when you get to the end of the cup, however this is a very small complaint, and one easily rectified! All in all, I am very happy with this starter kit! I feel it's quite good value for money as you get quite a lot of tea, a whisk which can be used for the tea and for frothing lattes, and the spoon which helps you to measure out accurately. I highly recommend it!

My absolute favourite matcha and exceptional value for money. It's ceremonial grade and by far the best flavour and consistency of any matcha I have tasted. Follow the instructions for a perfect cuppa (it's as good cold as it is hot). I drink mine with an oat milk topper and it's my daily ritual. I make it hot (in a huuuge mug) and finish it cold. It is my daily wellbeing treat to myself. For matcha there is non that rival this one...!

As the title says, the matcha itself is good. Smells and tastes nice and fresh. The whisk lets the package down though; mine wobbles manically from side to side, rather than spinning on an axis. As a result, all of the energy is going into this wobbling motion, rather than frothing up the matcha as it should. I don't imagine this will do the motor much good in the long run either. The spoon is ok, although you can see an bit of an ugly, discoloured weld between the handle and the bowl. I'll definitely buy the matcha again, but I wish I'd bought a whisk and spoon separately.

I was looking forward to this. I’m pleased with the spoon and whisk but when I scooped the matcha powder out it smelt like fish. I started to mix it and the smell got worse. I had to bin it and my kitchen still smelt like fish. I think it’s a good company and philosophy, I’m not sure if I got a bad batch but it would be good to test the quality from the batch I got.

This was the first time I've tried matcha, which is why I got a set. All my mugs are flat on the bottom, so I figured the traditional bamboo whisk would not work so well; a flat-bottomed frother seemed the perfect solution. The matcha itself I found to be tasty (not bitter) and smooth (no grit). The frother works great, but after using it several times, I noticed that the glaze on the inside of my mugs was getting damaged by it. (See the gray ring around the bottom in the photo?). There were no instructions saying not to let it touch the surface of the mug, but there should have been! (This was my first frother, too.) I highly recommend this set. Just be careful with the frother.

Great little kit for a no fuss matcha latte in the mornings. Delivery was also very fast!
