Replacement for Pit boss RTD Temperature Probe Sensor, Compatible with Pit Boss P7 Series Smokers and Wood Pellet Grills PB-39P350

Our original prob on our pitboss verticle smoker went out to lunch… this unit was fairly easy to install and it’s working GREAT so far!

Bought to use on a PB5 vertical smoker. Temp probe it comes with is very low quality, lacks the ability for rapid/adequate feedback to the controller leading to rapid and vast temp swings. This new probe is performing excellently with temp control +/- 10F max. I also went with a better pellet (is Traeger a better pellet because the word is they juice their pellets for elevated flavor?) for more consistent heating. I mixed 2 parts Traeger (Texas, Pecan), 1 part PB Hickory. Ohhhh weeee, blow the roof off this.... T-bone and rib eye. It's a great day. Get this RTD and it will bring your PB back from the dead.

It fit my pit boss 340 the product fixed my err code my only complaint is that the wire was a little short had to take the thing apart and then re route the wiring not that big of a deal. works as is should.

Our piteous had a little fire the last time we cooked in it! Went to use it a few days later and kept giving an error code. Looked online and found it to probably be temp probe! Ordered this, arrived within 2 days and was very easy to install. Works like a champ again! Thanks

I have a Louisiana Grills vertical smoker, which is essentially a rebranded Pit Boss Series 7 smoker. I was having tons of problems with error codes on this smoker. The company kept wanting to send me replacement control modules. Read online that this temperature sensor is the real culprit for a lot of their problems, so ordered it. So far seems to have completely eliminated the wild temperature swings and error codes I was seeing.The temperature sensor looks exactly like the original that I replaced, but when I plugged it into the control module wire harness I realized what is different. The original temp sensor plug could be unplugged with almost no effort, no snap-lock to it all. This temperature sensor solidly snaps into the control module harness and requires actually using the little push pin on the connector to disconnect it.So far very happy with this sensor.

Great replacement for my pit boss pro series vertical smoker. Original went out so I ordered this one so I could get it faster than the replacement from pit boss (great customer service from pit boss. The replacement from them arrived shortly after this one). Easy replacement and so far working great.

Easy to install

We have a Pit Boss Copper 7 series vertical smoker. Was getting ErL and ErH errors. and noticing crazy heat swings (50-70 deg) . replaced the thermostat with this one and works better than new. I am thinking the originally has been acting up since we purchased the unit. Shipping was faster than I expected. came with no instructions (bet there is lots of videos on how to do this) it did not take long at all to replace.
