Sergeant Calhoun Doll - Wreck-It Ralph. DISNEY LIMITED EDITION.

i was on the fence about this doll at first, i thought her hair looked a bit too puffy and i wasn't sure about the detail work on the face, but once she arrived i was definitely glad i made the purchase. the articulation on the armor is fabulous, and the detail on the guns is awesome. the hair IS a bit puffy, but not to the point where it takes away from the overall appeal of the doll itself.one thing i didn't realize however is that the rifle actually appears to be attached to the armor on her arm, so it can't be removed? i didn't want to pull too hard and break it, but it does appear that the rifle cannot be freed from her arm without actually removing the armor.fun fact: i also collect Asian ball-jointed dolls, and Calhoun is approximately the same scale as the MSD/33cm dolls, so if you did want to remove her armor, she would be able to wear clothing of that scale.

I was told about this cartoon and doll only because people were coming up to me stating that I look like this Sergeant. I was curious, so I looked at stills from the movie. Yup, there was a pretty good resemblance. I bought the doll because for a Disney Doll, it had the most details that any of the previous Disney Dolls. 1,000 made, so it has value. Mine was obviously never even touched, which gives more value to it, but seeing that it looks like me, I might as well keep it as an oddity.

I had know idea how big she was until she was delivered to the house today. And I must say I am impressed with her. toy companies show make dolls for girls bad ass to show all girls they aren't just sapposed to be a preety face they can be bad asses and shouldn't be afraid of gettin dirty. I like sergeant calhoun cause she is tough.

I love all things Disney and a big fan of Wreck-it-Ralph. The limited edition of Sergeant Calhoun captures her beauty and her strength. It is a great addition to my collection.
