Best socks ever and a great bargain to boot - plenty of toe room and stay up nicely
I have tried dozens of brands of wool socks. These are by far the best. I like wool socks for all weather. They keep your feet dry and cool in the heat of the summer and warm in the winter. But, finding really good wool socks for work and hiking is a challenge. You have to consider fit, the ability to keep their shape, thickness in the right places. And then, of course they should not totally break the bank. That said, I have paid up to forty bucks a pair for wool hiking / work socks and these are by far better than any of them. The toes have ample room so you can wiggle your toes, no crowding. The soles have ample padding to help cushion your foot. And the tops are a good length and shaped right to help them stay up easily all day long. The tops come all the way to just below your knee. There is an elastic band around the instep that keeps them snug while allowing the toe to be spacious. I use these riding my mountain bike every day. I wear my knee pads over them and they prevent chafing. They go along with my shorts to give a bit of protection to my legs without getting into the chain. All in all, these are just great socks. I paid less than $14 for each pair and have just purchased three more. Get them while they last. Update: After four months wearing these every day, I still love them. Update again: After 12 months these socks are still performing perfectly. They fit great, wear great, and I am still wearing them every day. Best socks I ever had.

Good purchase
The RealTree Heavyweight Merino Wool Tall All Season Boot Socks are an excellent choice for anyone seeking warmth, comfort, and durability in their footwear. Made from high-quality merino wool, these socks excel in temperature regulation, keeping your feet warm in cold conditions while still allowing for breathability when temperatures rise. One of the standout features is their heavyweight construction, which provides added cushioning and support, making them ideal for long hikes, outdoor activities, or even just daily wear during colder months. The tall height ensures that they stay up and provide ample coverage, preventing any discomfort from rubbing against your boots. Additionally, the socks have a moisture-wicking capability, which helps keep your feet dry and prevents blisters, a crucial aspect for anyone spending extended time in boots. The blend of materials also enhances durability, meaning these socks can withstand the rigors of outdoor adventures without losing their shape or comfort. The RealTree design is a nice touch for those who appreciate a bit of style along with functionality, making them suitable for both hunting trips and casual wear. Overall, these socks are a great investment, providing excellent performance across various seasons and activities. Whether you’re an avid outdoorsman or just looking for a reliable pair of socks for everyday use, the RealTree Heavyweight Merino Wool Tall All Season Boot Socks are sure to impress.

Warm calves and feet, all day!
I ordered two pair of these socks for my husband because his regular wool boot socks shrank in length when washed. He always has cold feet, too. He tried one pair and was so happy to tell me his feet were finally warm! His legs and feet were warm to the touch when he removed these socks. They went all the way up to his knees and stayed in place all day. They washed and dried beautifully. He was so happy that we ordered 5 more pair to give him a full week of warm feet. I highly recommend these socks for anyone who is looking for warm feet and legs!

Good work socks
I work outside, I drive trucks for my city's emergency services in the northeast. Winters can be rough. I used to get pretty good wool socks at BJ's but they stopped carrying them. MY current ones are wearing out and in need of replacement. I bought some so called wool socks last winter, they sucked and didn't keep my feet warm at all. This year I've been reading reviews and doing research to find something decent with out breaking my bank. RealTree kept coming up so I got a pair to test out. I got one pair as a test and liked them so got four more to cover a week of work. They are very comfortable and nice warm down to the mid to low 30's. These don't seem to help much once the temps hit the 20s. Especially if you a working in snow. If your outside time is going to and from the car then these are more then enough these will be good down the teens, if you work outside like the guy holding the sign for road crews or such then these are good to the 30s. All in all I am happy with them and will look for something warmer.

Comfy and tight at the same time.
Initial impression; these are very comfortable socks. They have plenty of length, stopping at the bottom of my knee and feel like they should stay up. Very eager to get them in the hiking boots and see what they feel like at the end of the day. Also curious how they'll feel after being washed a few times. Update: I ended up buying several more pair and used them; daily, for about 10 straight days while I was, camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. Wore them under some waterproof/snake proof boots. Never once did I regret choosing these RealTree Heavyweight Merino Wool Tall socks.

great socks; terrible sizing
I only gave 5 stars to get readers attention (I have no connection with manufactures or anybody else) because these are great socks at a better-than-average price, BUT sizing is terrible. I am man, 5'9", 150 lbs., slim lower legs. I had a special reason to buy XL size BUT on arrival where the XL was written on both the package and the socks, it was a job just to pull them on my legs. In fact, their size is no more than "regular" --the XL was almost tight enough to be support hose, but stretched just a little with use. If lesser sizes are as far off, only a child could use them, and a large or obese person would have to give them away. So for sizing, they would get 1 star, but certainly 5 stars except for inaccuratre sizing.

These socks don’t play
These socks don’t just keep your feet warm — they lock in comfort like a vault. Tall enough to anchor your boots, thick enough to laugh at Midwest cold, and soft enough to feel like a win every time you gear up. No itch, no sag, no regrets. Just solid, reliable warmth that feels earned.

Good quality sock - stays up and is comfortable
Good fit - if a bit tight in the calf - very comfortable for all day wear on long hikes. Well padded in the forefoot and heel. Got them in the winter but will wear then year round. I'll buy them again to replace another brand as that brand wears out.

Warm and cover your whole calm
I’ve been wearing these socks for a couple years now, quality is great and have had no issues. These are long socks that will cover your calf and go right to below the knee. Depending on your leg length I guess. For me this is great for winter. They help keep my legs and feet warm and yes they are warm but not so much that you sweat. Plus they are wool so your feet don’t get humid and stinky, which is a big plus. I have a spine problem and my feet are almost always cold and these socks help a lot. They are not tight around the cuff so they don’t leave marks on your legs and at the same time they are tight enough that they will not fall down, I’ve never had them slide down at all in the years I’ve been using these. For washing I hang to dry after, never had them shrink. Plus they do have a bit of stretch to them. These are comparable to the duck unlimited socks. I also got those from the store here in town and I’d say they are more or less the same warmth and quality and fit. I can’t tell the difference and I’d buy ether one in the future, which ever one is on sale :-)
