V7 V8 Battery Adapter Compatible with Dewalt 20V Battery Converted to Replacement for Dyson V7 V8 Battery SV10 SV11 Series Animal Absolute Motorhead Pro HEPA Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaners

We bought this for our Dyson vacuum. The battery went out on the vacuum a couple months back and instead of throwing away the vacuum we bought the battery adapter compatible with my husband‘s DeWalt batteries. The installation was extremely easy for my husband. He did it within minutes. The dewalt battery does quickly drain from the vacuum, but I just charge it up right away and use it again. I’m just glad my vacuum still works. Better than paying for a new vacuum, so it was well worth the price.

The adapter works great. The only improvement would be to add a couple of shorter screws. The adapter is well made. Through no fault of the adapter in my opinion the Dewalt Powerstack batteries are incompatible, the flexvolts work fine though. There is an issue with the DCB203's that I have. Only 1 of 3 DCB203 will run the vacuum on high but for less than a minute. All three will run on low fine.

It is working as hoped. It was easy to install on my Dyson V8. The DeWalt 20v battery is perfectly compatible and goes in smoothly and firmly. I like the battery indicator light on this adapter.

Just tried it on V8 with Dewalt 5 Ah and ^Ah. The vaccum worked fine on both regular and boost mode. I did notice that Dyson's V8 uses 22.5 volt battery and Dewalt's voltage is 20 Volt. This provides lower output than the default battery from Dyson V8, judging the noise from the vacuum. Also the manual says using >=4 Ah battery only. This is not specified in the product description unfortunetly. Some review said they had problems with 4 Ah too. I only tried 5 Ah and 6 Ah batteries and both worked fine. Dewalt batteries do not come with a builtin overdrainage protection. They rely on the tools instead. Because V8 uses 22.5 volt, which is higher than the default voltage from Dewalt, the vaccum itself likely won't provide any overdrainage protection. The adapter maunal says the adapter has overdrainage protection builtin. But I am sure whether that is correct because the manual does not provide any details.

Excellent alternative to buy a new vacuum.

I received two of these. On the positive side they were very easy to install. Unfortunately, when the first one was in maximum mode, it would die after one second. When I replaced it, the second one would pause in maximum mode every one or two seconds

Don’t waste money on a replacement battery that needs its own charger. If you have a spare Dyson with a dead battery, use this adapter as and you now have a backup/shop/truck vacuum for home or job site.
