Wiring Diagram Is WRONG
After wiring my accessory lights using this switch and using the wiring schematic pictured on Amazon, anytime the wires are connected to the battery the switch illumination is on regardless of switch position. I determined the vendor wiring schematic was wrong. The black goes to battery positive, the blue goes to positive terminal of the light. Wired this way the illumination only comes on when the switch is on. I new see others had the same issue. ONE STAR for the vendor not correcting this incorrect wiring schematic after it has been brought to their attention and causing us customers undue headache and time wasted.

Read my review if having wiring trouble
Device works good but hopefully this explanation will save you my headache. There are really two ways in which this switch can be wired.1. LED always on.Connect blue to positive and black as positive to device and brown to negative. On this wiring the internal switch is only between black and blue. This is basically the default and only wiring diagram shown but this will lead many including myself to be confused if we wanted the light to only turn on when the switch is on.2. LED on when switch is onConnect black to positive and blue as positive to device and brown to negative. Switch is now between both black (positive) and blue (positive for device) and black and brown (LED).

Absolutely Perfect. I will be buying more of these for future projects.
The media could not be loaded. Reviews stating that the blue light won’t go out are flat WRONG, because user wired switch incorrectly. User “Colorado” has it correct though in his review. I followed his instructions “ Brown wire is ground; Black wire is "hot" or battery positive; Green wire powers stereo, etc., etc. ” and this unit worked PERFECTLY. See video. I am very happy with this unit!

Does what's expected
The media could not be loaded. It does what is expected, except the LED light for the power button doesn't cut off when unless you physically disconect or have another switch to kill the power going to it. From the manufacturer, it's wired always on instead of allowing the switch to connect it to the the power source also. I doubt having a quick disconnect like the this is a long term fix, I just want to put my bike back together I'll think of something suitable and waterproof eventually.

Perfect for my motocycle
I needed to reconfigure the driving / fog light switch on my motorcycle, which was was awkwardly placed on one of the lights housing. This meant I could not turn them on/off while sitting on the bike. After upgrading to LED, the internal part of switch was in the way, so I removed the original, bought and mounted this new switch to my handlebar and rewired accordingly. The switch light is bright enough so you know whether it's on or off even in directly sunlight (I bought the blue one). Looks great at night. Quality is great. Feels sturdy enough to survive many miles of weather on the bike. My only wish was to find a chrome bodied switch to match the rest of the bike, but that's being neat picky.I've seen many reviews complaining about the light not turning on. Be sure to wire and ground properly, and you will not have that issue.

looks good but doesn't always work
used on a Polaris ATV for LED lights. I ordered the 7/8 by mistake but found a narrow spot on the handlebars to mount. Wired to control a relay which provides power to the lights. LED lights use less power but the wires on this switch are too thin to provide the power needed to connect to the lights directly. This switch is wired to the battery directly in case you need the lights when the ATV engine is off, but if you connect the ground wire, the backlit switch will be lit 24/7, probably draining your battery. Can't think of an easy solution for this. The switch doesn't always latch and you may have to press it more than once to activate the relay. It looks nice but in light of the previous comments, I would use a toggle or flip switch instead. "on" should be "on" and not "maybe on this time" which is what you get with this press button switch.

Good so far
This is an upgrade from the switch I bought a few years ago (probably from the same manufacturer). This is a "press-in" type switch with the switch being lighted in green. The old one was a rocker-type switch that had a red light. This has the same wire configuration as the older one (see their photos for wiring diagram), which made an easy re-install. It fits a one inch handlebar snugly, and I had no issues installing it. Solid aluminum body, and easy to see switch.

So far so good
Installation is simple. Wiring diagram is something to figure out when installing to different color wiring harness. It is important to note the red-light should be off when vehicle is turned off. If not, recheck wire instruction.Seems to work good.I can't speak to longevity or water proofing. I road through several rain showers without any issues.
