Q: can this be put in dryer?

Shake off & air dry. The material is more like paper than cloth. Machine will degrade it, heat will trash it. Black is best, little storage dirt won't show.

Q: The shape of this hat in one of the pictures is different that the others. Does it look like the advertised picture?

The hat is soft and crushable. You can shape it as you please. When I wear mine, I shape it like the picture.

Q: What are the washing instructions?

Hand wash, drip dry. However, I have a jacket, too, never have washed either. Both are great.
