144 Yards Elastic Band 3/8 inch Wide, High Stretchy White Knit Elastic Band for Sewing Waistband Pants DIY Projects

Love it and will definitely buy again. The eleastic is very sturdy and great for the project I have.

I purchased it to make easy skirts with elastic waste. I cut the appropriate size but had to cut it down to more than half for it to fit properly. Was too stretchy for my needs.

I love the fact that it comes on a 144 yd. roll which hangs in my sewing room making it easy to access. The price is reasonable. I use a lot of elastic and the cost of a roll from another outlet plus the shipping was $70. With Prime it now costs less than half of that for the same quality. I'm happy!

In the first picture you see this product on the bottom, below 1/4" braided elastic (for comparison). The second picture is a closeup. The third picture shows the two types of elastic stretched out. This elastic is more like lingerie elastic than the sturdy and smooth braided elastic I wanted. This elastic is far stretchier than the 1/4" elastic. A 2-inch piece of the 1/4" elastic stretches to about 4". A two-inch piece of the 1/8" elastic stretches to over 5". I bought this elastic to use on masks and I am afraid the extreme stretchiness is going to make it difficult to get the mask to fit well. I also think the bumpy texture will be more uncomfortable than the smooth braided elastic. Lastly, I did not realize this was coming from China or I wouldn't have ordered it. It took four weeks to arrive.

I had ordered and expected white elastic but this looks like a dirty white/grey. Thought it might be the sealed plastic wrap on the spool which was nicely put inside a ziploc bag so I removed it from the bag and slightly opened the plastic wrap and unfortunately it was still that muted grey color. Bummer I had ordered a second spool for my father in law. Hope he's not disappointed with the color too. UPDATE; Dad is fine with color and likes the stretchiness of it.

This is hard to find 3/8 elastic material in black at very good price. Have no data on long term last ability . SD
