All Clad makes an exceptional product!
Very happy! All Clad makes an exceptional product. Lids fit perfectly. So glad to add more All Clad plans (Made in the U.S.A.) to my kitchen. I saved up to get these and they are worth every penny. So versatile. I'm a cook that experiments with food. I needed great quality cookware. The weight and metal quality scream excellence. These will, without a doubt, be around a very long time. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Very pleased and happy with these pans! I've already tried them all out. Love All Clad cookware!

Outstanding
Fantastic! I just made a batch of enchiladas with my new pans. I couldnโt be happier with the performance. The pan heated up quickly, nothing burned, and the clean up was very easyโฆ no soaking required. They also really classed up the kitchen. So far Iโm glad that I went with the 3D; the performance was perfect, and theyโre fairly light weight. I also bought a couple of the All-Clad glass lids to go with the set for versatility.

Clean freaks: read before buying
These pans are great, although sometimes I do wonder if they are worth the maintenance. I would probably give them 4.5 stars if I could. Pros: - They cook really well. They distribute heat very evenly and are great for browning meats and deglazing. They feel solid and are just nice to cook with. Definitely top of the line in this regard. - American-made, if that is important to you. Cons: - Expensive. Costco has a set that looks just like these for a fraction of the price. I have no doubt that these will perform better when cooking, but I am not sure by how much. - Hard to clean. If you are a clean freak like me and think you'll just be able to wash these with soap and water and be done, you're in for a rude awakening. You need to use Barkeeper's Friend, which is a stainless steel cleaner that comes in a powder form. I hit them with that stuff at least every other time I wash them, otherwise you'll get discolorations, water marks, and stains over time. You also can't let them air dry, because, again, you will get ugly water marks. I do throw my pots/pans in the dishwasher regularly, and I think they have lost some of their shine, but I don't really care. They still look great when I keep up with using the stainless steel cleaner. Some people have said they are not dishwasher safe. All-Clad says they are definitely dishwasher safe, but will lose their brilliance over time when washed in the dishwasher. - Lids are not heavy enough. They aren't flimsy, but they are very light. You can't cook rice in these pots without weighing down the lid, which is pretty dumb. I don't know why you would ever want such a light lid. - The pans are pretty small. If you want to cook a meal for a bunch of people, you're not going to be able to do it in these pans. It feels kind of crazy to spend $700 on this set, and then have to spend another $200 on a decent-sized frying pan. If you're usually cooking for one or two people this won't be an issue though. Overall: I am happy with them, but they're not perfect. I'd probably recommend just buying a set at Costco unless you make a lot of money or just really want to make the investment.

They heat evenly and look great. They come with metal lids instead of the ...
This All Clad set is very high quality. They heat evenly and look great. They come with metal lids instead of the typical glass lids. My previous pots and pans were Emeril Pro-Clad (Discontinued tri-ply), which was All-Clad's made in China line. This real All Clad set is significantly higher quality than Emeril Pro-Clad. While the Pro-clad had cast handles, this set has longer machined handles. The body of the pan is made of thicker metal and you won't have to worry about them warping. You also won't have to worry about the puck on the bottom of the pan coming off because it has three layers throughout the entire pan. The only quirk about them is the handle. Although the handle is high quality, the shape of the handle is a bit strange to me. One interesting thing about this set is the 2 qt and 3 qt pots have a straight lip whereas the rest of the set has a tapered lip. I really like the shape of the pans. They are easy to clean with the rounded bottom. The 8 qt and 2 qt pots are nice and deep. The longer handles also don't get hot. If I compare these to the discontinued Pro-Clad, this All Clad set has better heat distribution and heats up faster. The heat travels up the sides of the pan as well. I used to own aluminum fry pans and enamel steel pots because they were cheaper, but they would wear out quickly and perform poorly. Long term, these are cheaper. Note that Emeril Pro Clad is no longer made. If it was, I would consider the Pro Clad since it was a better value. The new Emeril line is not as good as this set! (Although it is made by All Clad, it has a stuck on puck instead of unibody construction.) If you have the money, you should get this All Clad set. They'll probably outlast you. They're also made in USA, which is a major plus for me.

Amazing upgrade if youโre used to cheap basic cookware
I love this set! This is my first dip into expensive cookware. I have been cooking up a storm in these pans! If youโve been looking around for reviews on this set, you probably have been seeing people saying โdonโt buy a set, but prices individuallyโ because certain pans wonโt get used. Well, I have been using every single piece of my set. It was an amazing deal! Itโs nice to have the consistency of heat and performance with the pans. Once you get a handle on the learning curve when switching to stainless, you get optimal browning and heat. They all clean up easy too! I might have to let a pan sit with warm water and soap, but they always end up wiping clean no matter how burnt on some stuff might get! Itโs amazing to be able to clean the pan by making a sauce with the fond while cooking. I canโt recommend the pans enough, they have upped my cooking game significantly. Theyโre beautiful, sturdy, and high quality cookware that I will probably outlive me as long as itโs taken care of. You get what you pay for!

NOT DISHWASHER SAFE! Protect your investment!
I have finally learned my lesson after purchasing this set: please note that even though these state that they are dishwasher safe, they really aren't. This is because of the Tri-poly layering, so there is a very thin layer of aluminum that is exposed along the rims. Especially on any pan that has a rolled edge. Any exposed aluminum that is put in the dishwasher will corrode due to the harsh detergents used in dishwashers. It doesn't matter what type you use (we've tried them all, including a homemade one), the ingredients in the detergents that are necessary to get your dishes clean are also too harsh for aluminum. This is why those pans get a gray or white powdery residue on them when they are run through the dishwasher. We have completely eliminated all aluminum from our kitchen and use only stainless steel because of health concerns, and it just makes life a lot easier. While I understand the importance of hand washing certain things - like wooden items (utensils, cutting boards) and knives (to retain their sharp edge), I am a busy person, so now and then, if there is room, I like to put a pot or pan in the dishwasher if there is room. So when a product states that it is dishwasher safe, I would like to think they are TRULY dishwasher safe. Which to me means there is NO aluminum exposed whatsoever, because I know it will corrode in the dishwasher. Which means they are left with a worn down edge, making the stainless steel layers sharp to the touch. I know this because when we were first married, we purchased a very expensive Belgique set. We had no clue about metals and detergents or anything like that, so put them through the dishwasher all the time. Over time, the exposed aluminum wore down and the exposed edges (on the bottoms of their products) were sharp...and ugly. Last year I decided it was time to get something else so purchased a Cuisinart stainless steel set that also stated they were dishwasher safe. It was quickly apparent that they really weren't, as they also had an exposed aluminum edge (on the top of their products) that wore down and the stainless layers also became sharp. Being very frustrated about this, I decided to do some serious research on stainless steel pots and pans - reading hundreds of reviews and articles and washing dozens of videos to learn everything I could. I finally settled on this very expensive set, which I just purchased over "greed weekend" (aka Black Friday) because they were on sale. It was a BIG investment for something as simple as stainless steel pots and pans, but the description clearly states that they are DISHWASHER SAFE, as well as their website and other sources. When they arrived, I was immediately struck at how nice these pots and pans are. So professional looking and the nicest we've ever owned, even after having the expensive Belgique and Cuisinart sets. There's just something about these that look and feel more expensive. On close inspection, we couldn't see any exposed aluminum. It all looked like they had closed the tri-poly layers with stainless steel, so everything was contained, and we were so happy to FINALLY have something that was actually 100% dishwasher safe. No more corrosion or sharp edges! Or so we thought. We have used a few of the pots/pans in the past few days and last night I had an open spot in the dishwasher so I went ahead and put one in, assured that all would be well. Fast forward to this morning when I went to unload the dishwasher and imagine my horror when I pulled out the pot and noticed the tale-tell signs of dusty white around the top edge of the pot - apparently the aluminum IS exposed, just like with the other brands, and just ONE cycle through the dishwasher made it lose it's shine and when I rub my fingernail over the edge, I can feel (and see) the layers of stainless steel and aluminum now, because that one cycle in the dishwasher has worn it down just enough that it is now visible. So I have learned a very important lesson here - there is NO SUCH THING as 100% dishwasher safe when it comes to anything made of tri-poly layers. There must be no way for them to completely enclose the aluminum so there will always be a small strip exposed. Or maybe it needs that exposure to expand and contract with the heat, since aluminum and steel conduct heat differently. I wanted to write this review so that if you are considering making this investment, I DO highly recommend these: they are not only beautiful, but they perform fantastically. The sizes are absolutely perfect for our needs (and actually fit our burners perfectly too, which is something we've never experienced either). But, I STRONGLY advise that you NEVER EVER EVER put these in the dishwasher. Like ever. Never ever ever. If I could go back and not put that 1 pot in the dishwasher last night, I would. I don't mind hand washing, but if something is advertised as dishwasher safe, then it really should be. So just be aware that it's not entirely true.

Worth the price tag
Youโll notice the difference when cooking with this product. My wife loves it. I recommend reading how to use stainless steel for cooking to avoid burning your food. Itโs well-built and definitely an upgrade to our kitchenware.

Will probably have these pans the rest of my life
Had them for a year now. Best set of pots and pans Iโve ever had. People in the reviews that have problems with cleaning them donโt understand stainless steel care. Even though it says dishwasher safe, donโt do it. Just preheat your pans properly so food wonโt stick and occasionally use barkeepers friend or boil some vinegar mixed with water in them for a minute. Minor blemishes on them are normal if you use them. They wonโt be blemish free forever. They will and should look like a well loved set if you use them all the time. I switched to stainless steel after having nonstick pans and they started flaking off in my food. I knew stainless steel would require more care but it really doesnโt take that much more time when you preheat your pans. The food just slides out. And you don't need to use such high heat, just preheat for a few minutes on low until water starts beading instead of evaporating.

Disappointed with Warped Saute Pan
I had high hopes for this sautรฉ pan, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. After just four uses, the pan has warped significantly, rendering it unusable. I followed all the care instructions diligently, but still encountered this issue. I expected better quality, especially for the price. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this pan based on my experience.

Beware 3 ply on Induction
=Read 2 year update at end= Quality you can feel. Wow this 10 piece D3 set is stunning to look at and phenomenal to cook with, Its true about the fond you get after searing/frying you attain to make fantastic gravy's. We splurged after buying a new induction range so we could see what all the fuss was about, and my wife and I are very happy with both the precise control of temperature you get with these D3 pans/pots and the heft and thickness. along with the incredibly quick heat up time of the new Induction range, both as a combo are a dream. Clean up is easy, but the first few times I was worried as the fond and bottoms accumulate alot of discoloration after cooking, but it all comes off very easily under hot water and dish soap with a sponge. We would highly recommend this set. -2year Update- 3 layer frypan does not cut it on an induction cooker. our 10inch has warped and Allclad does not warranty warpage. Had to replace with a competitors 5 play which has performed much better. Beware 3 play anything on induction. We learned the hard(Expensive) way that you need 5 play on Induction cooktops. Allclad should explain this imo Saucepans are great but no idea if they have also warped, but not concerned with a saucepan warping.

A must for anyone who enjoys cooking
A must for anyone who enjoys cooking, easily the best pans I have ever owned. I do all the cooking in the house and these are used for multiple meals everyday. One of the staples of my kitchen. Steel requires more care but you will never want to go back. Substantially better than any non-stick pan or gimmick pans out there. Absolute classic.
