I'm in love of this sketchbook!), it's my first watercolor sketchbook that I have, because most of the time, I'm practicing on paper pads. And this sketchbook have 8"x 5.5" inch. And it's very versatile, good quality and good for travel or plain air paintings! 🥰 I recommend this!❤❤❤

This watercolor sketchbook is top notch for the price. It arrived with some subtle marring on the cover (see last photo) but it was not damaged nor was the paper affected, so I am not bothered by it. I tested my watercolor sets from a children’s neon set to my better quality Grumbacher tube colors to evaluate the paper - see first photo.Usability of both sides of each sheet will depend on the level of saturation on each side, as this paper will not take heavy amounts of water without buckling and seeping. The pages are not perforated, so if you plan on using this book for finished works, this probably isn’t the pad for you. The paper performs as expected. For a sketchbook to test layouts and color schemes, and do quick watercolor sketches, this is perfect. I will definitely order more of these Strathmore watercolor sketchbooks!

Just what I wanted - a watercolor journal of good paper in a size that’s easy to transport for outdoor painting.

Pros -Excellent paper quality for price -Perfect for travelling -Solid amount of pages -Cold press texture on BOTH sides -Handles ink as well and is easy to draw on with my microns Cons -The paper itself buckles a bit with a fair bit of water -The binding seems to be weaker in one particular spot for me, perhaps I was too aggressive -The cover material is easy to damage but I personally love it

I got the water color one with 5x8 basically with the 48 pages. This is one of my favorite brands for paper anyway. But this is a great watercolor book. Pages are consistently good quality. I thought I’d hate the soft cover but actually the opposite. I love how I can fold it out of the way. But that’s a personal preference. High recommend especially if you aren’t trying to spend a bunch on your first one but still want good quality. I’m using mine with Winsor and newton cotman sketcher set and it’s been great.

In regards to how this paper accepts and presents liquid media this paper is superior. This particular cold press watercolor paper is the paper that has made me finally appreciate cold press paper. The final product looks superior to my other papers of similar weight and texture.

The cover is nice feeling. The pages feel securely held. I was also very pleased with the paper itself. No wrinkling and absolutely nothing bleed through. Now for the caveat. The above is true for me BUT I know precious little about watercolor. I paint for the pure enjoyment I get from doing so. I have meeden paints and generic brushes with the water reservoir in the handle. I attached an image of the type of hobby painting I do (cropped to hide identifiers). I hope this helps clarify my review.

Papel con gramaje adecuado y textura ligeramente rugosa que retiene bien el color. La cubierta es flexible. Para mi resulta adecuada pero si se necesita una cubierta de pasta dura hay que optar por otro cuaderno

Adorei a qualidade do papel para fazer croquis e treinar meu desenhos .

Excellent paper for watercolour, colored pencil, gouache, etc. The softcover makes it nice and light to carry around and is pretty durable despite going in and out of my bag over and over again.
