Hook 'em and cook 'em. Bang them pots and pans.
This pan set replaced a Cephelon non-stick pan set. My wife and I were getting a bit aprehensive about the flaking of the coating and I decided to get this stainless set. I really wanted copper bottoms, but for what I was willing to spend, it seemed like anything with copper was just a coating, not actual copper. Once I settled on this set, I ordered and waited a bit longer than the Two Day Prime shipping. Once I actually received the pans. I was pleased with the fit and finish. They are sturdy and feel good in the hand. I am a very hands on cook who likes to flip and swirl as opposed to just stirring. The handles stay cool and the pans are weighted nicely so they don't tip to the handle while on the stove. The pans heat quickly and stay hot, which is good when you pick them up to toss the veggies around a bit. I read a tip in another review about letting the pans heat before cooking to close off the pores on the cooking surface to avoid sticking. So far so good on that front. The pans do discolor a bit with cooking, but as long as they don't mess with the flavor I could care less. If I had wanted display pots, I would have bought copper and a hanging rack. I am also sure a little Bartenders Helper or whatever that cleaner is, will shine things right back up if I ever care to use it. 3 year update: These pans are still going strong. There are some scratches at the bottom of the pan from using metal implements to stir food, but there is no staining, burned in residues, or any other discoloration. The handles are still firmly attached and the pan lid handles are the same way. This is one of the best pan purchases, besides my cast iron skillet, that I have made. 7 year update: These pots and pans have been through the ringer and are still holding up beautifully. They are just as sturdy as the first day I got them and the finish is still shiny. All the handles are firm and the lids are as solid as ever. My wife has burned I don't know how many eggs into the smaller frying pan and they come out easily with a little soak. I will probably end up using these pans forever as I am a firm believer in if it isn't broke, don't fix it methodology.

it's about time...and healthier too
Having used nonstick cookware forever I was a little nervous in switching to stainless steel but.....I'm so glad I did!!! I absolutely love this brand!! It is very sturdy and quite heavier than others. Love it's shine, the size of the individual pots, and the cute lids! it's a stunning set at that! it took me awhile to get used to the preheating and no longer use of cooking spray, but at least now I can scrub them clean and not have to worry about scratching teflon. The price was fantastic!!

Solid set for someone on a budget!
After 28 years of marriage I finally got a good set of cookware! We had a cheaper set of hand me down Revere Ware from the days of my first apartment. As pieces wore out they were replaced by more cheap pots and pans. Finally, I decided it was time to get rid of my cheap hodgepodge cookware and get something good, but still needed to stay on budget. These did the trick! I have used them about 5 months now on a glass top electric range. (not induction.) They cook evenly and clean up easily. The pans clean up easier than non stick cookware and don't have a coating we have to worry about flaking off. The handles feel natural in my hand, comfortable to grip, and each piece is weighted nicely. They have enough heft to tell they are solidly built but not too heavy for me to handle with food in them. They still look like new and we use them every day. I have them hanging on a ceiling mounted rack from S hooks and they look great. I am very happy with these and would recommend them to anyone looking for a decent set of cookware at a fair price.

Heft of the cookware is nice as well as are the handles
Wish this set had a strainer (lid or basket) but I'm not displeased none the less. Heft of the cookware is nice as well as are the handles. I almost chose another set but this set without the strainer basket or lid appeared to be the better deal and I cannot compare adequately if I haven't experienced the other set. I am very happy regardless of my "wishes" and I must further my reasons. I'm a novice in the culinary world and I purchased the set of cookware because I'm getting more informed ... which if you're in my boots is murder. I've watched FoodTV, Food Network, and other shows such as Hell's Kitchen, Chopped and many more. I do not promise anyone who reads my review to be 4 star satisfied but I'll stand by this product because it is good/great. I bought this set because I was using an electric-coil hot plate for cooking and decided to venture forth into Induction Cooktops which require Induction Cookware. I took 2 leaps forward in my cooking which is crude at best. I justified one for the other, in order to consume less electrical energy. Budget is a spiderweb of doubt in so many cases but I knew I need to conserve electricity. I did that with Induction Heating Cooktop and this Cookware in combination and am proud of that. So, knock it down a "star", if you are using gas ranges, you do not need this cookware ... per se. If you are not afforded the luxury of gas and are using aluminum cookware on your electric coil cooktop and you want to cook more, look into induction cooktops and shop for cookware like this, because you will probably be as amazed as I have been in the reduction of heating time for water alone. If you cook, if only for yourself, you will like/love this set for the value alone but once you pick the first lid out of the box, you may feel the quality of the cookware you just acquired.

What A Deal!!!
Update 2-27-18 I like this cookware so much that I've purchased the 3 quart chicken fryer which includes a lid. Makes perfect chicken in wine because I can finish cooking in the oven. Also remember that stainless lids are more sanitary than glass because food can't get trapped inside. Update 11-03-16: I've now owned and happily used this cookware for over 2 years. I can honestly say that it cooks as well as my single All Clad saute pan (which I received as a gift). Considering that I can buy a full set of the Duxtop cookware for LESS than the price of one All Clad pan, the purchase becomes a no-brainer. This is a fantastic product at a bargain price! If you're looking for a starter set of tri-ply cookware, look no further. This is a high quality set at an incredible price. Don't hesitate, cuz Amazon might come around and start selling this set for a profit. The pieces are heavier than one would expect and have VERY solid handles that stay reasonably cool. Sticking should not be a major problem as long as you remember to ALWAYS preheat your pans before adding your lipid. Also, tri-ply construction means that you are able to cook at a lower temperature setting than you may be used to with your previous cookware. Once you adapt to the "Stainless Learning Curve", you'll never want another type of cookware. BTW: Tri-ply works great regardless of your type of heating element.

I've been using mine for a couple months, and I love them!
Coming from a complete castiron collection, these 3-ply stainless steel pots set was a great investment for us. Their lightweight, durable, and beautiful to use. It came on time, with instructions on maintenance. The handles feel great, and was exactly what we needed. I'm happy with my set and will update it if my opinion changes with time.

Great set of pots and pans! Duxtop pots and pans
Update: July 2018, I can say these are still holding up after two years. I certainly am glad that I decided to buy these. I have not tried them in the oven yet as I have my cast iron for that. I have used all the pots and pans now and can say they clean up easily, even after cooking sausages in the frying pan. If you are thinking of getting yourself a first set of pots and pans, give these a try. Even though I have not used all the pans yet, the two pots I have used have excellent weight. I followed the instructions on using lower heat for them and they seem to be quicker at coming up to the boil point then the other pots I use. The only thing I noticed I don't like is that the inside has discoloured after using first time for boiling water for potatoes etc, but this has not affected the use of them. I hand wash them only, to keep the outside looking great! Great price too!

Perfect for Induction Range
We bought these pots to go with our new Induction Range and we are very pleased with the results. Two other family members (our kids) persuaded us to replace our gas range with an induction cooker and we are very pleased to report that these Duxtop pots are superior in service to the big name pots they bought for their induction stoves. The evenness of the heat through the bottom of these seems definitely to be better than the other brands our family members have. The Duxtop are a pleasure to look at and to handle. PS - It would be nice if there were a matching tea kettle.
