Royal Purple Max-Clean Fuel System Cleaner and Stabilizer 11722 20 Ounce

Royal Purple Max-Clean exceeded my expectations! Great price online compared to my local auto parts store, and the performance is impressive. My engine feels smoother, throttle response improved, and it’s reassuring knowing it cleans and stabilizes the fuel system. Excellent value for a high-quality product I’ll definitely keep using.

I've never had a lot of faith in fuel additives, usually dump them in, and forgot I did it, never noticing an improvement. Not the case with the Royal Purple Max-Clean additive. I had just changed the spark plugs in my 1987 Chevy El Camino with a 4.3L TBI engine. I took the vehicle for a drive, and it was fine until I stopped, and so did the engine. Quickly I restarted the engine, but it was idling rough, and the rpm was low. Once off idle it seemed fine. I thought possibly I had a vacuum hose come loose, so I rechecked and all was fine. I then thought maybe the EGR was sticking open at idle due to a piece of carbon, but there hadn't been a code set. I decided to try the easiest thing first, and added Royal Purple Max-clean to the fuel. In less than 100 miles I noticed the difference, and after a 150 mile trip it was running great, and idle was back to normal. Don't know for certain, it could have been one of the injectors was dirty, but all is back in order now. I would recommend this additive to others, it certainly worked for me.

This has been working fantastic in my 05 Magnum. I use it every fill up. Increased fuel economy and better performance.

Great product! I could really tell a difference in performance as well as fuel milage when I added this product to the tank. It arrived on time and was better than described. I would recommend and purchase this product again.

First off, let me start by saying: Wow, what a product. Good job, RP. With that being said, I purchased this product for my 2013 Civic Si - which I've been tuning for a a while now. I noticed that with a tune and modifications, it lost some MPG and I was barely seeing 260 miles per tank. So, I asked myself, "Is the extra power from the tune worth the loss in MPG?" I thought there had to be something out there to help. I tried several fuel system cleaners over the past 6-8 months, I used one every month (or four tanks) and they all seemed to do very little. I came across Royal Purple Max-Clean Fuel System cleaner - wow, what an improvement. I run on Shell's Nitrogen Enriched 93 Octane gasoline. It is only getting more and more expensive, so this is something I wanted to try in order to help save money in the long run, and I think I will. My first tank using RP's Fuel System Cleaner had 304 miles traveled, and I wasn't driving conservatively. Not only gas mileage, but performance peaked as well. When we tune, we see everything the computer in the vehicle records and we noticed a 2% top-end increase in performance at high RPM - that's incredible for less than $20. But the question remains, "how long will this last?" Would I recommend this product? Most definitely. This container is large enough for two tanks on my Si (it's a small 13 gallon tank). Remember to follow the instructions - don't just dump this stuff into your gas tank. You should see an improvement about half way through your first tank. Just keep an eye on the MPG. From what I can tell from data logs and tuning, this product should only be used once every 3-5 months (or 8-12 tanks of gasoline) but varies depending on driving style. Using too much of anything isn't good. So, why after all of that, did I only give this product a 4 out of 5? I gave it 4 stars out of 5 stars because of the container and its design. You can't just dump this stuff in some gas tanks on newer vehicles without making a mess. I did not have a funnel that fit into my gas tank, so I was forced to buy one in order to use this (another $5~ or so). My point being: You shouldn't have to purchase additional items to be able to use this. Other than that, it's a great product and definitely worth the investment. I'm not going to say you will see a huge improvement, but it does help. How much depends on your driving style, your vehicle, and what grade gasoline you use. EDIT 1: One month after use: So, it has been about 3 tanks since I've used this stuff. I have noticed that the first two tanks, MPG stayed up there, and now is beginning to decrease slightly. Although, my driving patterns aren't 100% consistent, so it's difficult to tell for certain. I do believe that this product works, and still recommend it once every 3 months or so. EDIT 2: (July 15th, 2015): So, it has been well over a year. I use this product at least once per season on my Si. Every time I do so, I feel the improvement. Still highly recommended. The improvements seem to last about a few weeks (or few tanks). I'm not sure about mixing other RP gasoline products (e.g. Max-Boost). Royal Purple products are the ONLY products that go into my vehicle.

Royal Purple max clean is easy to use, it is very effective at getting your whole internal engine very clean, this has ingredients in it that will clean your injectors and help you get better gas mileage to boot. I will be putting Royal Max Clean in my old Silverado every 5000 miles!

I have used Royal Purple MAX-Clean fuel system cleaner for several years and feel it is doing a great job on my direct injection vehicles. To use it you run your tank down towards empty, pour in the product and then gas up to say 15 or 20 gallons to get the right solution concentration and then drive your car for some distance. I time it to use the product before a trip and run the entire tank through. So far so good, my engine purrs!

This is very good stuff. I was doing a lot of driving and realized my gas mileage had decreased significantly. It was taking 2 tanks from Texas to AZ. My car was sluggish getting on the freeway. I put a can in my tank and filled up. After the first tank driving back to az I put another can and filled up. Drove the second half of the trip. The third fill up which was to begin my trip back to Texas i was accelerating quickly , finding myself doing 100mph, throttle response was excellent. The return trip to Texas i used 1 and a half tanks. 2017 toyota corolla se, 90,000 miles before I ran 2 cans, one after the other. I recommend using a few cans in back to back tanks (one can per tank for most vehicles) and you will see a difference. I follow the directions on the can now and use it every 10,000 miles. My gas mileage is like the day I bought the car new with 32 miles on it.

This is most likely the best fuel additive I have ever used as far as actual real-world improvement in fuel consumption. I have a 10 years old diesel vehicle which has been slowly increasing in fuel consumption, so I purchased this item. I added the content into the fuel tank when there was about 1/4 a tank left and let it run down until as far as I was willing (about 50km left in the tank). The next fill up, I did not notice a very noticeable change, but from the next tank on, I have been getting 50-70km more out of each tank of fuel. For reference, my tank is 65L and I've been getting about 740km out of a tank. I generally do a lot of hilly 60km/h drive (50%). a little bit of town driving (probably about 20%) and a little bit of highway (20-30%). Now, after the treatment, using the same fuel, same driving pattern, I am getting approximately 800km out of a tank on average. I think I might buy another one and treat it again. It'll probably clean the system further and give me better results.

Used it for a week now and I saw a big difference in my fuel consumption. My gas way better now. I think I saved 15-20% of fuel. So far running better and good on gas.
