Moen101010ORB 1.5-Gallon Per Minute Male Thread Aerator

These aerators were difficult to find in the hardware store or big box store and I was happy to find the exact match quickly on Amazon. They were easy to install and are working great. The hardest part was removing the old one!

It matched the OME faucet, amd was easy to install. Looks new again.

This was purchased to replace an older single handle Moen bathroom faucet. The old aerator was spraying water out the sides, but the sink overall was doing okay. More of a pain to replace the whole faucet, so I searched for an easier fix. I wasn't sure if this would fit or not, took a gamble and it fit great! One thing I didn't realize was that the old aerator had what looked like TWO aerators or mesh filters... the 2nd one was jammed up in the faucet when I removed the old one. There was a small washer and another filter up there I gently pried out with a small flat head screwdriver. Once I removed those two additional pieces, this one fit in its place perfectly and screwed in tight. The old aerator was 2.0 gpm and this one was 1.5 gpm... but honestly I don't notice the difference. I'm just happy the water now dispenses normal and no more side spray! So again, if you buy this and the chrome portion threads but you're unable to fit it in with the aerator inserted... check the faucet side for a couple more washers jammed up there and remove them. That was my only head scratching moment.

This part fit perfectly in my 1970's Moen kitchen faucet. I figure I got my moneys worth out of the old one.

Need to replace the aerator yearly due to minerals in the water supply

I have two bathrooms. In one of them, this aerator works perfectly. But in the other one, I get water squirting out through the threaded connector. I tightened it rather hard but the squirting continued.

What = Kitchen sink, extension faucet, Moen brand, installed new and finally the aerosol piece fractured and broke allowing the spay to be shooting on the counter and sides of the sink instead of a nice clean stream like when it was new.Why = New aerosol piece threaded perfectly into the head of the faucet and unlike the original aerosol part that was made with a durable plastic (which degrades with time) that cracked (probably from repeated cold and hot cycles), this part is entirely made of metal (minus the washer). It works perfectly and because it made of metal it is my expectation (and hope) that it will last longer than the 10 years or so I got out of the original OEM aerosol part.So far, the price, the ease of self installation and the quality of the materials are all VERY nice and set up with the customer in mind. Moen is a complicated faucet, but when it works, it's very nice. The only issue was finding the exact part for the particular model of Moen faucet. I ordered several different types based on measurements and pictures on Amazon's website for the item and either was lucky to order the right part or this part is shared with all or most Moen faucets for the kitchen or the bathroom.

Replace the old Moen aerator and it is a perfect fit.
