Himal Outdoors Riding Lawn Mower Cover Pro, Heavy Duty 600D to 54"

I Bought one of these in 2020. I am replacing it today! With the same band cover. Not because its worn out, but just cause after 6 years of 4 season Utah weather. It does not look so good, But i will continue to use the old one to cover mower attachments! Fits great, and if you put it on properly. It stays thru the wind, thru the blowing snow storms! Its a quality cover at a cheap price!! I am totally happy!

I have purchased this cover for the 2nd time. 1st time was 6 years ago. I accidentally ripped a small hole in the seam and wanted to get another because it is stored outside all year in the Northeast. The only thing to mention is that this black cover does fade fast in the sun and weather. It becomes a Grey color. Aside from that it has been great at keeping weather and everything out. I do place the rear wheels on the edge of the back cover and place a large brick on the front edge of the cover to keep the wind from pulling it off the mower. I have a wind tunnel where it is stored and that has been enough to keep it in place for the last 6 years. This cover is much larger than my riding mower and that allows me to have the edges on the ground far enough to place these weights on it. The drawstring couldn't close tight enough due to it being larger than the mower. This is a great quality cover that is very thick with very strong seams stitched in it. It is easy to use. I highly recommend this cover in all weather conditions to protect your mower from all elements and debris.

Lasted 2.5 years then faded and ripped. I would give it 5 stars but the fading happened within the first few months. It did fit well and lasted about as long as I expected.

I bought this to cover my new John Deere riding mower (X390 with 54" deck). It fits over the top perfectly, but is not long enough on the sides to cover the entire body, deck and wheels. It just needed to be a few inches longer on the sides. If I pull it completely over on one side the other is exposed by about 6 inches. There was no wiggle room to tighten the bottom with the adjustable cord, so I don't feel that the cover is completely secure. I like that it has elastic around the bottom, and a tag that indicates which is the front end. There are also some vent holes toward the back, which is great for keeping the air flowing so moisture doesn't build up.

I have purchased this cover twice in 5 years. My tractor sits outside all year round. I use this cover to keep the sun, rain and snow off my lawn tractor. This cover does a really good job. Where I'm from we have some of the worst snow in the US. This cover keeps all the snow and water off the tractor.

It fits well. Almost too large for my Husqvarna 42” riding mower. That’s better than too small. Time will tell if it is durable .Good quality. Great price.

I have had this cover in use since April, 2026. I must say, in my opinion this is the best feeling and fitting cover I have purchased and used. I use it on my 46” Cub Cadet (tractor type) lawnmower. Since I have only had in in use for about 3 months now I am very pleased with my purchase. The size is a good fit on my mower, it does have some minor adjustments so it can be secured and provide better wind and water resistance. It even came both its own storage bag. Since I’ve only had it a short time I ultimately down know how well it will hold up in the long run. But I am very pleased with it. I can see myself purchasing this type cover again — unless something really unusual happens.

I ordered the Himal Outdoor "Pro" (not sure what makes it "pro") Roofing Mower Cover to attempt to protect one of my 2 riding mowers from weather as I currently have no indoor space for them. I ordered one cover for now and had planned to order a second of I was happy with the first. I looked at and read through the information provided on a number of covers and decided to order the Himal for 3 reasons: 1) Overall, the Himal Mower cover had good to very good reviews; 2) I liked that the cover was constructed of a heavier denier than most of the others I viewed (600+ compared to 400+); 3) the reasonable price. I definitely believe the price is reasonable for what I received. The construction quality (materials and stitching, and size) is very good. My disappointment primarily relates to performance. While the cover should keep a Mower dry through rain and snow, and relatively dust free during dry months, it will only accomplish this if the cover STAYS ON the mower. Within 3 days, with occasional light winds, the cover blew off the mower as many times DESPITE tensioning the poorly designed snugging cord and attempting to tuck the bottom edges under. The cover - in my mind- is useless if it won't stay on. As a remodel contractor and designer I tend to think through items I design and reduce/eliminate problems and vulnerabilities. Wind... even light winds occur nearly everywhere and it would have been nice if some thought went into a simple, practical, functional way of dealing with potential kiting of the cover due to wind. The manufacturer's attempt to deal with wind and kiting of the cover was poorly thought out and executed. A relatively thin 1/8" bungee cord (the type that stretch out very quickly over time and lose their effectiveness) encircles the bottom of the cover; there is an eyelet on the front end with a small quick- cleat to pull on the cord (in an attempt to tighten the bottom) and "secure it. The problem with this design could have been vastly improved (though still not great) by providing the ability to tighten the cord at both ends; there is too much friction attempting to tighten from one end especially with a fairly weak cord. Even with a strong cord, that is a lot of material that will bunch up and produce friction; by having the ability to tension from both ends, the friction is reduced. The other VERY SIMPLE thing that could have been done - without functionally adding additional costs- would simply be to see a series of 4-6 loop tabs around the bottom to which the purchaser could tie some light line and secure the cover to the mower or to some weighted object. Obviously, straps with clips that go under the mower are pretty impractical for any mower with a deck on it. There is a second, useless (in my mind) bungee under the small air vent in the rear which is meant to reduce potential air space (but really fails to do). My last complaint is using the term "PRO" in this items description (marketing terms are often VERY misleading). This is NOT a professional equipment cover. A professional cover would use far heavier, far more durable materials, would provide means for properly securing the cover not only in wind that blows through your yard but also during trailering, and it would cost significantly more. The Himal cover is a reasonably priced, reasonably well made cover for basic home use but it is still relatively light weight. I will probably keep the cover and, if I do, will probably get 2 lengths of webbing (one for the front, one for the rear) to which I will attach a small fabric bag with sand at each end of both straps (ballast) and simply lay them over the mower cover when it is in use.
