Ultra Bookshelf Speakers (SVS Ultra Black Ash)

Add these to my home theater and opened up a whole new world on surround sound.

These replaced Klipsch Reference Premier towers (RP-260). Amazingly the efficiency is only 2dB less than the “super efficient” Klipsch in my room. The highs are so much cleaner and play without effort. They can reach down to about 40hz but I cross them over at 60 per SVS’s recommendation. I bought the Ultra center at the same time and the sound is so much smoother from the front. Voices sound more natural and music has a larger soundstage. Listening to 2-channel music I swear sometimes my full Atmos system is on. I have to look at the AVR to confirm that only two speakers, plus subs, are playing. This completes my SVS speaker setup in my 5.2.4 system. I shouldn’t have waited so long to buy after the Audioholics review.

Great seller, pretty good speaker. For the price and reviews i expected a lot more. Not bad but when combined with their subwoofer, it is waaaaay too boomy and fake sounding. Still trying to find the right combo of crossover and volume with sub so it may be me, not the speaker.

These sound just great! I was using a pair of Paragon Atom v2's, which sounded very good for the price, but I blew one pair, then another, by playing just a bit too loud. These have an amazing soundstage, especially considering they are fairly close to me when I listen to them. I don't think I can play them to loud without damaging my ears. Monitors require excellent midrange and highs, which these have, but they do a really fine job on the bass end to, given the size.

I personally think these are the best speakers that a thousand dollars can buy! From packaging to the product it self no detail was over looked. I paired these with a SB 4000. All I can say is WOW! Way to go SVS.
