After receiving this order, you will NOT understand this product. The instructions are in Japanese! But after experimenting I find I really like it. I gave it 4 stars only because it wasn't packaged for English users, but maybe I should just be happy I got it! You insert the ceramic pottery in the mask, place it in the microwave for 45 seconds, and then leave over the eyes from 10 min. to 1/2 hour. Since the heat only lasts about 10 min., you will need to reheat 3 times to get a 1/2 hour in, but I actually did this and my eyes felt much better. I still have no idea how are the "vibrations" are produced as described in the write up, and I feel none....and how is the infrared produced that's described in the write up? As far as mask design, having the little elastic strap isn't good for those who must use this twice daily, and especially true, too, for women whose hair can tangle when the strap is tightened, I recommend placing a pair of reading glasses over the mask to keep it in place for the treatment, so the elastic isn't shredded over time. I suffer from pretty intense dry eye, my eyes were always red, and at times very painful. I am feeling relief and my eyes are already much less red. So...overall...I'd say this product is pretty darned good, and meets my needs.

It serves a certain purpose. I like the very cheap ones with the ceramic beads best, but they are more fragile. This is really sturdy. I take it traveling. It works ok, it does the trick.
