Solid speaker stands at a good price
So far so good. These stands were simple to put together and seem sturdy. Though there are plenty of options and included hardware to secure your speakers, there wasnโt a set of screws that fit my Klipsch R500miiโs so I had to run to a Loweโs and pickup some 3/8 -16 screws - no biggie. So far, pleased with the purchase. In the photo, they are at their lowest height.

Great speaker mounts
Good speaker stands to enhance listening. I liked that they came with the hardware to mount the speakers a couple different ways, that they can be adjusted for height, appear sturdy and support heavier speakers without tipping over. My speakers are shaped differently than most others but I was still able to get them mounted. They also have the feature to hide any wires. Easily assembled in very little time. These look great with my decor and don't take up a lot of space.

Sturdy. Works with Sony SA-RS5 with aftermarket screws
A well built, easy to assemble, adjustable height stand. As other Sony SA-RS5 reviews have noted, you need to go to a hardware store and purchase 5mm screws. As I wanted to mount the speaker right away, I used the keyhole screw to attach the speaker. The problem with this method, and even with a 5mm screw set up, as you tighten it down the sliding rod bends and kicks the bottom of the speaker away from the bar. Two Tips: One, borrowed from Jamie, another reviewer, was to saw off the bottom of the support loop. After ensuring that I had the speaker where I wanted it, and making sure that the support rod was flat against the speaker, I simply wrapped a piece of scotch tape at the bottom of the lower support (the one with 2 screws), removed the support from the speaker and hack sawed it off about 1/16 inch above the tape. I filed any sharp edges. I didn't paint the exposed metal as cutting it above the tape line the support rod is completely hidden withing the bracket. Do yourself a favor. Cut the rod. It's ugly as sin hanging below the speaker. Tip 2: I cut the included plastic spacers in half with a coping saw and then sanded any burrs. I only eyeballed the center and it worked out. I then took the "half" spacer and placed it between the speaker and the support rod. I used a 5mm x 16 cap head screw as they're black and match the stand. This size screw allowed 3 to 4 good thread bites into the speaker which firmly supported it. A 5mm x 20 screw would offer more bite but isn't necessary. If you buy a cap head screw, you'll need a smaller sized allen wrench than the one included with the stand. Using the 1/2 spacer enabled the bar to sit completely flat against the speaker with no bend or kick out. If you don't want to cut the included spacer, use a 1/2" hard rubber spacer from a big box store. They'd be in the specialty hardware section. You may even find them here on Amazon. I wasn't crazy about the plastic feet so I attached felt pads to them. This helped to protect the hardwood floor and gave the added benefit of allowing the power cord to be placed anywhere under the stand bottom. If you have Sony SA-RS5 speakers, you'll need to purchase 5mm screws to secure them to the stand, but these are great, solid, stable stands and worth the money.

Secure for Sony RS5's
Works well enough with my new Sony RS5's. These are on the heavy side for satellites (claimed 5.5lbs) so I wanted something with a base vs just hanging from an offset pole. When mounted and secured as shown, they're secure enough for my satisfaction - but I also don't have a large dog or kids to worry about. Just a lazy cat and robot vacc with a mind of its own. If I did, I think I'd put a bar weight over the post, onto the base. In the pictures it's important to note that I cut the wire loop bracket used to secure to the rear of the speaker. Normally it would be extending down past the base another 7inches or so. In addition the fore and aft adjustment bracket stuck out from the front of the base plate a good inch or so. Not aestetically pleasing. So I have no intention of using these stands with any other speakers, so I just cut them with a hacksaw, sanded the rough edges on a belt sander, and gave the edges a quick shot of black spraypaint. I'm *very* tempted to take a grinding wheel and contour the base so you don't see the corners sticking out from beneith the speaker. This is the compromise in using a stand more tailored toward small bookshelf speakers: the square base will show. For now I just wanted to get them setup so I'll save that for a rainy day. Power cable is annoyingly short, but that's not the fault of these stands. Still a good 18-20" of cord at the foot of the stand when they're extended to roughly 35" (to bottom of speaker). The right angle plug and choke dropped down the tube without any issue. Ultimately I'm happy - I know these stands were going for about twenty less this time last year, but at $35/stand it's still cheaper, and more versatile, than using accent tables.

Good with Sony Bravia Theatre Quad system!
I got two sets of stands (4 units), added a few silicone pads and Velcro cables ties via Amazon, and now have perfect mounts for the four Quad speakers. The stands are high quality, easy to assemble and versatile. Mounting Dream MD5042-2 speaker stands can be a good solution for mounting Sony Bravia Theatre Quad speakers. Cost is now about $80 for two stands; I got two sets via Amazon and added a couple items to get the kind of mounting I wanted. The stands allow for multiple mounting approaches, but the Quads are of unusual design, so I added two items below for mounting the Quads (I mounted the Quads with their Sony table-stands attached): 1. Rubber mounting pads: Hudson Hi-Fi 1" Platinum Silicone Isolation Dot, Non-Skid Isolation Feet - With adhesive back - 20 Duro - 16 Pack (via Amazon, $18). Stick four dots on top plate of each stand to support the Quad-stands (align dots with edge of mounting plate). 2. Cable ties: VELCRO Brand ECO Collection | 5 Inch Small Straps for Cords | Reusable Cable Ties | 3/8" Wide, Black, 50 Pac (also from Amazon, about $12). Thread 4 cables ties through the four, 4mm slots in the speaker mounting plate and tighten to secure the speakers on top of the isolation dots. Make sure youโve installed power cord before mounting speaker. The Mounting Dream speaker height is adjustable and the plastic base-feet are adjustable to correct for uneven floors. The base is โdomedโ so excess speaker power cord can be coiled and hidden under the base plate. The speaker power cord is hidden inside the support tube. One needs to pull the speaker-end of power cord up through vertical support tube (internal structure of tube prevents gravity feed of speaker-end of power cord). I used an electricianโs fish-tape wire-puller. Something like an undone wire coat hanger would also work. I used twist-ties (from plastic food bags) to temporarily attach the power cord to the fish tape for the pull-thru. Note that the Mounting Dream speaker mounting plate is barely large enough to accommodate the Sony-stand, so use care in aligning silicone dots and speaker base. The isolation dots should align with edge of the mounting plate. You wonโt need the MD5042 โSpeaker Attachment Unitโ using the mounting approach described here (youโd only need this if using back-of-speaker mounting hole โฆ a whole different, off-centerline mounting method).

Very solid, sturdy, but maybe not 100% ideal for Sony SA-RS5 speakers
These are very solid, well-built speaker stands that will not fall over. I used them with a pair of Sony SA-RS5 speakers, and they worked but were not perfect. The base plate on the stand is too big for these speakers, leaving a bottom lip protruding out front. If I move the speakers forward, the mounting L-bracket slides out in front of the speaker - ugly. This is solvable by using a spacer between the stand bracket and the speaker, so that it is moved out a bit over the base. It's great that the adjustable back bracket allows any height speaker, but it leaves a long 'tail' of bracket down behind the mount, which is industrial and unattractive (I cut them off). It would be nice if there were break lines stamped into this bracket so it would be easy to customize the length. The installation stickers identifying the individual parts were not easily removable without leaving gunk behind - use a different adhesive please. The height adjustment knob is too big and clunky - it could be made smaller and less obtrusive especially as this is something that is rarely changed. Are these better than the bespoke $300 stands built specifically for the SA-RS5 speakers? No, not even close, but they're a whole lot cheaper and they work just fine. If your speakers are out in open view you might want the fancy ones but mine are behind the sofa and I don't care that they're a bit clunky looking.

If you're buying a Klipsch Reference Cinema 5.1.4 READ THIS REVIEW!
After CAREFULLY researching stands for weeks I decided to pull the trigger on these, despite knowing I was going to have to do some modifications to make them perfect for my Klipsch Reference Cinema 5.1.4 speakers. First off the four round feet on the bottom of the stand are NOT rubber they are plastic. I had to buy rubber non skid pads and cut them down to fit. I knew this before I bought them so I wasn't surprised. I also had to buy four 1/4 in 20 x 1 in screws and washers to mount my speakers to the stands. (Pic 1) While all of this sounds like a pain in the butt it's not a big deal if you want them to look nice. The vertical sliding bar that you put the screw through to mount the speaker would hang down otherwise, and IMO look awful. Oh and the screws it came with did not fit in my speaker, despite being the same exact size as the ones that I bought. Overall this product is still MUCH better than any other stand I could have chosen. The Klipsch Reference satellites are not perfectly rectangular. They get a tiny bit smaller in size towards the back of the speaker. This means that none of the clamp type stands will work. You have to find a stand that you can mount it to. I wouldn't want to use a crappy stand that squeezes my speaker anyway. The stands are pretty firm and stable. I am not worried about it getting knocked over and I pets. My only other gripe is that the wires get smushed against the bottom of the mounting piece if you want to move your speaker back far. However it was easy to just move it forward a MM or two and ease up on the cord being crushed. You can adjust the size of the actual part that the speaker stands on to make it bigger to fit a speaker like this. That made me very happy. It's very balanced now. The stands are very straight and look great. I am incredibly happy overall with this purchase. I am SO grateful for the other guy who left the review mentioning these speakers. Such invaluable information when you're trying to browse through a couple crappy speaker stand options on Amazon. Definitely would buy again if I had to.

Absolute quality
This is the kind of purchase that makes one happy. The box is neatly and tightly packed. Each item is labeled well, and the instruction manual is clear as day. The product contains everything you'll need to set up most of your speakers (except wood screws). Unfortunately, my satellite speakers are a millimeter too tall to aptly secure from the back, but that was easily remedied by a thick double tape (instead of using wood screws from the bottom). Edit: there's a slight wobble on my tiled floor which I can't see to get rid of no matter how much I try to adjust the feet. Since the base isn't heavy, there is a mild risk of tipping over. Something to consider if you have kids.
