Superior Performance Folding Step Stool 15 Inch with Anti Slip Dots (Black)

hello, need a portable, folding stool for small jobs? this is the one for you. when it arrived, it was folded flat and right then it fit into the trunk and went to work. it is tall enough (15") to sit on to paint, stain, and fix things, etc. without bending over straining your back or hurting your knees. it is sturdy enough to stand on, but if a longer time is spent on always standing, we would use our aluminum step ladder for that purpose. this folding plastic stool is a temporary solution for cramped spaces and stores away quite well. we needed a small folding stool to sit on while painting and staining teak surfaces. the height was just enough to sit and reach straight out to easily paint and stain the surface without having to lean over. when moving on to a taller surface area, the stool was easily picked up and carried to the next area. it was small enough to fit into a two foot wide walkway and still give room for big feet to move around without feeling cramped. it does not have a series of steps to get to the top step, but remember, it is supposed to be a folding stool and not a step ladder. when finished, it folded flat and was stored away behind a cabinet in a space provided by the garage cement baseboard. it is very lightweight and was a joy to carry around to the jobs that required this cool little stool. great product and delivery...definitely a back and knee saver...update: after 9 hours of using this stool there were several things to watch out for in the construction. if you sit on this stool horizontally, the strain goes to the middle of the stool and the top may fold inwards. it shouldn't, but it does. the other thing is that if sitting and then shifting your weight, may make the side hinges come apart, collapsing the stool somewhat. the hinge can easily be clicked back into place, but unless you make something to keep the folding sides from folding, your stool will collapse inward. your fixes will be your own, but once the fixes are made or put on, this stool is very sturdy and can still fold. it just takes a little more effort to set it up. we put on some short plastic removable tubes covering the folding sides and that prevented the sides from folding inwards. as for the top, we put on a small thin wooden top cut to fit and screwed onto one side of the folding top. it sits on top of the stool and will fold up when you fold the stool. now when the stool set up this way, it works quite well and is very sturdy. but it just took a little patience and time to get it right. you still cannot beat the convenience of this folding stool for being light weight and very handy. yrmv

ummmm I was using this as a shower bench due to a fractured ankle. We got 2.2 showers out of it before it collapsed into multiple pieces. Fortunately I was not further injured in the collapse. My daughter has a little grey stool just like this which is great because it folds flat has rubber feet and is sturdy enough to step up to reach those high shelves. I'd hoped to get some double duty as a bath stool and kitchen stool... I was wrong. Only use this product as a step stool.

I really like the extra height, but I don't think it could stand too much more weight than mine ... 160 lbs... It feels a little unsteady.. but I will use with caution... because it is so easy to store and convenient...

4 stars because this is a great stool for those of us who are budget minded. The price is pretty low at $20 for a stool of this height and the quality is about equal to the price. I have no doubts about its weight bearing capacity. It is pretty and exactly as described. Note this is NOT an ANSI certified stool and thus if safety is truely an issue then avoid this stool. This particular folding step stool does not lock into the open position and has a tendancy to want to stay folded. If care is taken when opening it, it is perfectly safe once opened properly. Dont buy this for an elderly person. It works great for occasional use, also would make a great plant stand. I use mine to boost the height of my ipad upon the nightstand in the evenings so i dont really mind its inferior features. Price And height is all that mattered to me.

This is a flimsy piece of poop. I would not let a small child stand of this stool. I opened it up and put it on the ground and it buckled. I took my foot to just see how much pressure it could take and the sides started to buckle. Could you imagine if I was getting up and down on this stool? The moment I would have shifted my weight I would have fallen from the collapse of this. It sure looks pretty but is in no way capable of handling some one on it.

This stool is brilliant. We live in the Midwest in a house from the 50s- meaning, tiny bathroom. Having two toddlers who need help washing their hands multiple times a day, this is such a useful tool. Now that we have it, I would say it's a "must have"! And when not in use, it is so simple to fold with one hand and slip next to the wall. This would be ideal for anyone with a small space. It is sturdy, can be used as a chair if needed, and is easy to wipe down and clean. You should get one!! This is quite tall- which is ideal for our use (the boys are two years old and they can stand on this and easily reach the sink) but there are several different heights. Enjoy!

I had read several reviews that indicated that this Step Stool was not that sturdy. I'm using this only to put one leg at a time to apply lotion etc. I did step up on it and it held my weight and did not buckle. (I am heavy). For my purposes it suits me as well as my husband. I would only use this as a full Step Stool if I'm only going to be on to get something that I'm not able to reach.I also think this would be an excellent stool for little children. I would recommend this Step Stool but definitely read the other comments in reference to this stool and support.

Very sturdy, my 2 year old can climb up using the base and it doesn’t collapse or unfold on him, it holds a lot of weight and super easy to collapse and store. Totally recommend this product
