The only glue that holds a sole on a shoe
Works way better than Shoe Goo, or any other stuff I tried. I had a gorgeous pair of brown suede ankle boots that had a long "Witchy Poo" toe that stuck out way further than my foot in front, and since I usually wear rounded toe boots, I nearly broke my neck as I walked out on my front porch the first time I tried to wear them. I took them off and was sad that I would not be able to use them because they otherwise fit like a glove and so pretty. I thought for a moment about chopping the toe off them, but didn't want to ruin them, Then I remembered they were a gift that my friends picked up for only $4 dollars at Goodwill, so I figured I would try and make em wearable without killing myself tripping on the long toe. Four bucks wasn't too much to risk trying, even if I screwed up. I managed to separate the sole from the upper in front, and cut the sole into a more reasonable shape like my other shoes, and then tucked the extra long bit of material back over the toe and under the insole, but no glue would hold it there. gh them over the toe and let it stay that 0 a few minutes. These are my FAVORITE shoes now and nobodyn even noticed I had altered them. Contact cement held up on the toe even after replacing the heel after wearing them so much. Worked a treat! Also glued my door back together after it fell apart, and that wood is pretty heavy. Original is the best formula, though -red label. The green label water-base or low VOC version is just not the same in my experience. Probably won't be able to buy it at all soon, so I will stock up what I can. I preferred the small glass bottles over the metals cans they use now because the lids are more difficult yo remove even when they aren't glued on. The cap is too shallow to grab tightly with just fingertips and the width of it prevents getting a whole hand around it to grasp it more securely. I'm glad I kept a glass bottle from way back so I can refill it rather than the steel cans I need other tools to open. It had since become my GO TO shoe repair adhesive, working on porous or nonporous materials, wood, paper, painted surfaces or cloth, suede or leather, even plastic and rubber⁷ I like it.

Pricey, but excellent adhesion
I've not found a better quality contact cement. Is this stuff dangerous and highly toxic? You bet, that's how you know it works. I've tried the eco friendly stuff and always end up chucking it in the trash. Just make sure you are in a well ventilated room. It's a little pricey for a full 5 star, and the sheer toxicity of it makes it hard to recommend for everyone, but it definitely earns 4 stars for being incredibly powerful.

Great for reattaching linoleum strips.
Great product. I used it to re-attach linoleum strips that had fallen off my cabinet. It is important to wait at least 15 minutes to let the solvent evaporate before putting the pieces together. You should discard the bottle if it becomes too thick, as the solvent evaporate.

Great bond!
It’s definitely a permanent bond which is awesome. The smell is not overwhelming but if you’re sensitive set a fan up or use it outside and you’ll be fine. The holding strength is unmatched compared to the 4 or 5 other brands I’ve used.
