Can you oil or spray WD40 to quiet the fan motor

Not sure, there really isn't access to the motor or shaft.

Would the 36 inch fan fit inside a ez up tent?

What size if you have a small 10x10 or 10x20,20x20 it depends on the Height of your tent if you have a 7 foot high or 8 foot high I would not recommend using the 28inc I will go to smaller fan the 18inc

Is the 1 speed low, medium or high

High you really feel the difference I recommend it.

Is it normal to vibrate and hum very loud ?

Ours hum very loudly after one year. I would not recommend this product!!
